Jim Rich attended the monthly meeting of the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce Executives hosted by the Northwest Houston Chamber of Commerce at Lone Star College on last Friday. He updated the group on the proposed legislation on TWIA and the effort to develop allies to support reform. Language has been proposed to the Texas Association of Business to be included in their legislative agenda to be adopted September 26. The Gulf Coast Chamber Executives plan to attend the TAB board meeting to urge support. The GBCOC will be hosting the Gulf Coast Chamber of Executives meeting this October!

Cheryl Kizer attended the Mid America Lenders Conference last week in San Antonio. This conference afforded SETEDF the opportunity to promote the Real Estate Advantage Loan Program to over 400 financial lenders. Additional training opportunities were also available and attended.
