Chairman Chuck Kalhbrenner has been transferred to the TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston where he will undergo treatment. The hospital is a national leader in medical rehabilitation and research. Continued prayers are requested.

A Way Around Traffic

Last week we have looked at the traffic problem in Texas and what it is costing us. Today we look at one way to deal with it thanks to Dierdre Delisi.

A Week for Visitors in Southeast Texas

A group who finances chemical manufacturing projects, an economic development specialist for the Burlington Northern and Sante Fe Railway Company, and a group seeking to locate a textile manufacturing plant were all visitors to the area this past week. Also, former board members of the Southeast Texas Chapter of the Texas Association of Business and chamber executives for Beaumont, Orange, and Port Arthur hosted Chelsie Kramer the new Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Region for the Texas Association of Business.

U.S. Chamber, Texas Association of Business Back Export-Import Bank

Texas is the top exporting state for six years in a row now. Despite being a federal issue, the possible closing of the U.S. Export-Import Bank is becoming more than Capitol Hill chatter for Texas.
