NEW Economic Development Project!
 National Oilwell Varco, a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of comprehensive systems and components used in oil and gas drilling and production will expand their Beaumont operations under the name XL Systems. The XL Systems Beaumont facility is situated on 40 acres and uses half of their current footprint. An estimated $23 million will be invested in the project to include 40 new jobs. On Monday, the Jefferson County Commissioners Court approved a tax abatement application. The Southeast Texas Economic Development Foundation handled the economic impact analysis and is working with the company to explore all local incentives.

New Member Orientation
The Chamber will hold a new member orientation for those who have joined in October, November and December 2013. This event will be held on Wednesday, January 29 at 8:30 a.m. at Luby's in Beaumont.
