Hello Station Organizers!
Bike to Work Day is tomorrow -- Wednesday, June 26 -- and I wish you success with your stations. Please, please send me stories from your stations - I love hearing about all of your stations!
I have two final favors to ask. First, please help us keep track of the people who visit your station, especially by counting station visitors in two categories: those that registered on the Bike to Work Day website, and those that have not (and don't intend to). Feel free to use this tally sheet or signup sheet to help keep track! After Bike to Work Day, please report your numbers using our survey link.
Second, please remind riders registration will remain open until 8 p.m. Wednesday. We use this information to estimate actual participation numbers in Bike to Work Day. We encourage everyone to register online for free, and a bonus to participants who register is potential prizes so if people haven't registered, there is still time. However, we know everyone won't register on the website. We want to estimate the numbers of riders who did not register to estimate actual event participation. We use this total number for many reasons, from discovering the impact Bike to Work Day has in emissions and fuel savings to how many miles of travel were made by bikes instead of cars. We also share the number with the media and it helps us attract future funding.
I truly appreciate your help tracking participation! After Bike to Work Day, please remember to use our survey link to record your numbers.
Thank you so much for making Bike to Work Day such a successful event!
