Psalms 30:5 (KJV) - 5 ...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
JOY COMETH! JOY RETURNETH!
Years ago Jerry Savelle wrote a book entitled: "If Satan can't steal your joy, he can't get your goods!" SO TRUE! Everything, I mean everything, is closely tied to a Christian's level of joy! When joy is low, victory is low. When joy is high tide, victory is cresting too!
I checked my OIL OF JOY level the other day and it was a Quart Low! LOL! We need to keep our spirit-engines full of oil! That dipstick should not get very low or it could damage my internal workings! Ha!
JOY COMES AS QUICKLY AS SADNESS COMES! So don't major on occasional SADNESS. Major on ONGOING GLADNESS!
Miracles happen as suddenly as tragedies!
Paul said while he was in prison: "Rejoice in the Lord, and again I say, Rejoice!"
Rejoice = Joy again!
Re-joice = Re-lease-joy!
Have a Hallelujah Breakdown, and when you're done, have another!
Throw a God Party, and when you're finished, throw another!
If Paul could rejoice in the Lord while in Nero's prison facing the prospect of a possible beheading, I jolly well be able to rejoice in the Lord in whatever situation I find myself in. Apparently REJOICING IN THE LORD is more a choice to obey God than waiting for some human emotion to finally come back. The problem is PRIMING THE PUMP or getting started. It helps though, if we can realize that we are rejoicing in the Lord, not in the bad circumstances we find ourselves in. Notice Habakkuk's attitude below that got him rejoicing in spite of his horrible situation.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 (KJV) - 17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
Joy is an INDOMITABLE FORCE!
Joy is much, much more than a human emotion!
Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV) - 10 ...the joy of the LORD is your strength. John 15:11 (KJV) - 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that MY joy might remain IN you, and that your joy might be FULL.
Not just joy, but MY JOY but Jesus' own joy! His joy is mine! What a miracle!
Someone has wisely noted: JOY IS AN INSIDE JOB!
John 17:13 (KJV) - 13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have MY JOY fulfilled in themselves.
Isaiah 61:1-3 and Luke 4:18. JESUS' FAVORITE PASSAGE OF SCRIPTURE! (The Bible says each time he went into a synagogue to teach, he started with this passage.) Why was Isaiah 61 his favorite scripture? Because it was:
-His Job Description: His Mission! Imparted Passion in Him to deliver others.
-A Prophecy of WHO HE WAS that imparted faith to the people to more easily receive from Him.
-His Mission Statement here included pouring the OIL OF JOY on us.
-Also called the OIL OF GLADNESS in Hebrews.
The OIL OF JOY makes you "TOO SLICKERY" for the devil to hold on to!
Psalms 30:5 (KJV) - 5 ...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
JOY COMETH! BUT HOW? CONFESSION (agreeing with God aloud).
- Boldly Confess With Your Mouth: "JOY COMETH! My Joy Returns! My joy bubbles up! The joy of the Lord strengthens me now! I have the joy of knowing Him! I have the joy of showing him! Joy is a fruit of my reborn spirit! Joy is my hallmark! Joy distinguishes me from others! Joy overtakes me! Joy overwhelms me! The joy of going to heaven! The joy of not going to hell! MY JOY COMETH! I've got the OIL OF JOY: It's softening me. It's preserving me! It's flavoring me! It's loosening me! It's lubricating me! It's moistening me! It's making me shine! I'm TOO SLICKERY for the devil to hang on to!"
- Recognizing Seasons Change and that Tough Times sooner or later end! - John Osteen - "It came to pass!" (See Ps 30:5).
-Knowing Him (See Ps 43:4)
-Showing Him (See Lu 10:17)
-Answered Prayer John 16:24 (KJV) - 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
-His Manifest Presence (See Ps 16)
-Obedience (See Jn 13:17)
-Believing (See 1 Pe 1:8)
-Returning from Captivity (Read Ps 126)
-Holy Spirit Surround-Sound - Psalms 89:15 (KJV) - 15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
-Loving Righteousness & Hating Evil -Hebrews 1:9 (KJV) - 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
