ALREADY RELEVANT!
I am tired of being told by certain Christian leaders (who think themselves cool, hip, and pop) that I've got to become MORE RELEVANT! More POP CULTURE!
I am tired of being told by some leaders that I must hide part of Bible truths so that I can engage in a "CONVERSATION" with the world!
I am tired of being told that I CANNOT SPEAK UP but must SHUT UP about current events so that I don't offend anyone! Last time I checked my Bible, it said there is such a thing as "THE OFFENCE OF THE GOSPEL!" I'm actually glad a few people OFFENDED me with truth before I came to Christ! I didn't like everything they had to say, but their boldness to confront me with my condition EVENTUALLY led me to surrender to Christ! (That short ugly dude in college with the thick glasses and goldilocks that kept telling me I needed Christ bugged me to death! I wanted to crush him like a bug! What a nerd! But in the end, who was the fearless one? Who was the one who really possessed true love?)
ALREADY RELEVANT!
If I have to refrain from stating that there is no such thing as gay marriage, or that Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender behavior is sin, when asked in public or private, in order to reach someone for Christ, then THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST HAS LOST ALL OF ITS POWER AND GOD IS A JOKE! Sorry, if I cannot give a person a straight answer about something that's abundantly clear in the Bible, then I need to REPENT AND THAT DEEPLY! I do no one any good by hiding my light under a bushel basket! People are STARVED for TRUTH and FOUNDATIONS but too many Christians are afraid to be politically incorrect! DO WE NOT SEE HOW VERY FAR WE HAVE FALLEN IN AMERICA WITH ALL THIS LGBT FOOLISHNESS! Love tells the truth! We are DAMNING our nation by failing to SPEAK UP!
Our nation is CRAVING TRUTH! Meantime Christians are whimping out because of fear and trying to be cool and RELEVANT!

We Are Already Relevant! Jesus said so! He said we are the LIGHT OF THE WORLD and the SALT OF THE EARTH! That, my friend, is RELEVANCE INDEED! We are ALREADY RELEVANT, just maybe not POP! You don't have to compromise with immoral pop culture to become RELEVANT! Jesus has ALREADY made the believer relevant to every person on the planet! You came to God through THE DOOR Himself, just like anyone else must come, so you the believer possess the MOST RELEVANT MESSAGE that anyone could hear! The best way to be RELEVANT is to simply tell anyone who will listen what Jesus has done for YOU! YOUR OWN STORY makes you supernaturally relevant to anyone and everyone! Tell your story! Your story makes you CONTAGIOUS (relevant). If the Good News is not the most relevant solution to anyone from any culture, then we might as well quit altogether! Trumpet what Jesus has done for you, and you are instantly and perfectly relevant to their greatest need, regardless of their background or postmodern cultural cynicism or confusion. Regardless of your age, gender, background, past sins, past affiliations, income, or education or nationality... YOU ARE THE RELEVANT ONE, and don't let anyone tell you are not! EVERYONE will listen to your story! You don't have to change your style, your personality or your core beliefs in what the Bible says on any subject to accommodate anyone! Just be yourself in Christ, and you are automatically magnetic! Speak the truth and leave the results up to the Holy Spirit! Don't let any Christian leader tell you that you have to become more hip, less consecrated, or that you must compromise your beliefs just to become more relevant and to have a "CONVERSATION" with unbelievers. No! LOVE will win them! NO! Truth will win them! Compromise won't make them more your friend! Just love 'em! Just tell 'em what Jesus has done for YOU!
It's funny... My background didn't include criminal behavior or deep sinful darkness, but when I was in full time jail and prison ministry, God made me very RELEVANT to those jail-birds and I was able to lead hundreds, if not thousands, to the Lord Jesus Christ! Signs, wonders, miracles, healings, gifts of the Spirit, bold and wild preaching!
ALREADY RELEVANT! Christians every one!
I be RELEVANT! You be RELEVANT! ALREADY!
