Real Person - Raw Power
Isaiah 44:3 (NLT) - For I will give you abundant water to quench your thirst and to moisten your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit and my blessings on your children.
What is this abundant water? What is THE RIVER? A phenomena? A power? A force? A flow? O SO MUCH MORE! The River is a Person! THE HOLY GHOST HIMSELF!
John 7:37-39 (KJV) - In the last day, that great day of the feast [feast of tabernacles 7 months before crucifixion], Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man THIRST, let him COME unto me, and DRINK. 38 He that BELIEVETH on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his BELLY shall FLOW rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Dake Bible Jn 7:37 - [last day, that great day of the feast] The eighth day, the great day of the feast because it was a day of great assembly and offering great assembly and offering sacrifices for Israel. The first seven days they professed to offer sacrifices for other nations (Lev 23:34-36). On this day a priest drew water from the pool of Siloam in a golden vessel and brought it to the temple. When the morning sacrifice was on the altar he poured this water mingled with wine upon it, while the people were singing with great joy. It was at this time that the Lord made His great prophecy of the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the life of each believer in Him.
REAL PERSON - RAW POWER!
Acts 1:8 (KJV) - But ye shall receive power [Du-namos - words we know derived from Dunamos: Dynamite, Dynamo, Dynamic], after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Dynamite Power - He is Spontaneous Instantaneous Explosive Energy from within me!
Dynamo Power - Continuous Self-Regenerating Self-Replenishing Energy charging my inner man and refreshing me constantly!
Dynamic Power - Changing Adapting Energy to Fit The Need At the moment. (Transformers, X-Men, Marvel Heroes - eat your heart out!)
I LOVE THE NEW CENTURY VERSION OF Matthew 10:7-8 (NCV) - When you go, preach this: -The kingdom of heaven is near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead to life again, heal those who have skin diseases, and force demons out of people. I give you these powers freely, so help other people freely.
I GIVE YOU THESE POWERS FREELY, SO HELP OTHERS FREELY! Wow!
PERHAPS THE MOST ASTOUNDING STATEMENT IN THE BIBLE IS: 1 John 4:4 (KJV) - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Incredible! Miraculous! Astounding! GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN ME THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD!
Never mind for the moment "than he that is in the world." Yes, THE GREATER ONE INDWELLING ME completely eclipses anything the enemy of my soul, the devil, can conjure against me! But let's focus on the single phrase, "GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN ME!" Greater than what? Greater than anyone! Greater than any situation! Greater than any emotion! Greater than any setback! Greater than any loss! Greater than any pain! Greater than any injustice! Greater than any mountain! Greater than any challenge I face! He that within me is greater than any pain! He's greater than my deepest disappointment! He's even greater than my highest dream! GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN ME! Unfathomable! O mystery of mysteries, Christ in me, the hope of glory vis-a-vis the Holy Spirit HIMSELF! Glory! I think there is NO WAY I CAN FAIL with Him on the inside!
YIELD! Yield! Yield!
YIELDEDNESS!
GREATER: Holier, Purer, Healthier, Wealthier, Stronger, Bigger, Larger, Calmer, Smarter, Wiser, Softer, Gentler, Kinder, Sweeter, Brighter, Nicer, Friendlier, Bolder...
Boldly CONFESS ALOUD THE "ERs" to yield to whatever you need from the Lord at the moment:
"Holier is He that is in me!" if you're struggling with impure thoughts.
"Healthier is He that is in me!" if you're fighting alarming symptoms in your body.
"Calmer is He that is in me!" if you're tempted to yield to panic, anxiety, fear, worry, or confusion.
"Smarter is He that is in me!" if you're faced with a challenging exam, test, or something that requires mental focus.
"Bolder is He that is in me!" if you are tempted to quit, shut up, or succumb to intimidation.
HE IS ALL THESE THINGS AND MORE INSIDE YOU IF YOU BUT YIELD TO HIS ATTRIBUTES AND LOOK TO HIM FOR HIS INEXHAUSTIBLE INFINITE INNER STRENGTH! He's not far off or somewhere else, requiring you to obtain something you don't have from a distance! He's ON BOARD, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, INSIDE, INDWELLING, ENDUING, EMPOWERING, INFUSING YOU! Closer than your breath!
