3. Fresh Start - That's what MERCY is for! Mercy is all about a fresh start! A new lease on life! A clean slate! A new chapter in your life! Men can't give it to you, but God can! God's supernatural power can help you START ALL OVER AGAIN no matter your present station or condition!
4. New Creation: He REMADE you. He RENAMED you. He has the right to RE-AIM you! See 2 Co 5:17 in multiple translations.
5. Make This Confession: "I am a New Creation Sensation! All things are fresh and new in my life!"
6. In your journey with The Lord you can have MAJOR START-OVERS and smaller START-OVERS! Jesus is the ORIGINAL MAKEOVER ARTIST! There are times when each of us need a MAJOR OVERHAUL and other times we need an interim MAKEOVER!
Lamentations 3:21-26 (KJV) - This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Isaiah 43:18-19 (KJV) - Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Wisdom For STARTING OVER:
1. Make a list of the mistakes from your past that you have decided NOT to repeat, by the grace of God, and include your strategy of HOW you will not repeat them. (See Hebrews 12:1-13)
Some of these mistakes may be sins but many of these mistakes may simply be unwise choices and actions, or lessons learned in the School of Hard Knocks! Ouch! LOL!
2. Likewise, make a list of success principles you have learned from The Word and from your past that you will REPEAT and even REINFORCE STRONGER! (Believe it or not, you have done many many things right (despite your mistakes) and you have learned a lot about success along the way! This is the truth! The devil is a liar!)
3. EXPECT God to make all things new in your life BASED ON SHEER GRACE, not on your own perfect performance! Everyone, I mean everyone, has BLOWN IT and that multiple times! Stop feeling sorry for yourself and let God do HIS THING with you! His thing is a FRESH START!!!!! The Father is pleased when someone says YES to His new beginnings!
Revelation 21:5 (KJV) - And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
My Complaint One Day: "Lord, I just can't seem to get it all together." The Lord's answer: "I know! Can I be your "Got-It-All-Together?" My Reply: "O I get it! Yes, Lord, please be my "Got-It-All-Together!" Jesus, and Jesus alone is my righteousness, my good-standing with Heaven, my worth, and my value! I can NEVER allow my failures nor my successes define who I am. He alone is MY DEFINITION AS A PERSON! He is my uncommon worth!
HE THAT EXPECTETH, GETTETH!!!!
Expect HIS TOUCH, HIS FAVOR, on everything you do! (Just because He offers and promises it!)
"According to my earnest expectation, it shall be done unto me!"
"According to your faith, be it done into you!"
4. CONNECT, CONSULT, and NETWORK with others who can help you accomplish your dreams and also hold you accountable! We call this APOSTOLIC ALIGNMENT or KINGDOM ALIGNMENT! (This cannot be overstated!)
This has been the biggest reason for failure and moral falls among leadership in the body of Christ - NO APOSTOLIC ALIGNMENT!
Denominational or Organizational Affiliations are NO SUBSTITUTE for Apostolic RELATIONSHIPS.
Relationships, relationships, relationships! Relationships you can depend on! Nurture them. Hold yourself accountable to them. Recognize them. Discern the key people God has SENT into your life!
