Exodus 33:9-11 (KJV)
And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses. And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door. And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

Moses went out of THE PRESENCE. Joshua lingered longer in THE PRESENCE. Joshua could not get enough of God's presence; perhaps that is why God chose him later as Moses' successor. Joshua was hooked!

Get a new fix from the Lord each and every day!

Become a Fellowship Junkie!  Make it a point to assemble with other believers until it becomes habit-forming!

Hebrews 10:25 (NIV)
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Get so addicted to the Word of God that you end up memorizing reams of scripture!  Hint:  ITS EASY TO MEMORIZE BIBLE VERSES THAT THE LORD HAS RECENTLY BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION DURING BIBLE READING OR FROM YOUR PASTOR's MESSAGES. It's hard to memorize when it's just random selection of a verse. But when they are verses that the Lord is dealing with you about and also meet your present needs... IT'S A CINCH! Strike while the iron's hot, as the saying goes. Memorize that scripture while it's fresh and hot to you!

2 Timothy 3:15 (KJV)
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Catch someone doing something right and praise them! Don't wait for someone else to do this. You do it!

People need a lot of praise from others!

People need massive doses of encouragement!  Be that encouragement to them!

You will automatically feel better when you make it your mission to make others feel better.

In lifting those around you, you will be lifted yourself.

Don't wait until you feel great yourself, before making another feel great! Instead, make someone else feel great as a seed for your own need to be met. (Give and it shall be given into you...)

Be on a warpath to obliterate discouragement in others!

Hate to see someone down! Hate it so much that you just have to lift them up! People need to be believed in. En-courage people! En-Courage! Courage-In them!

Spread cheer like Johnny Appleseed spread apple trees!

Job 29:21-25 (MSG)
“Men and women listened when I spoke, hung expectantly on my every word. After I spoke, they'd be quiet, taking it all in. They welcomed my counsel like spring rain, drinking it all in. When I smiled at them, they could hardly believe it; their faces lit up, their troubles took wing! I was their leader, establishing the mood and setting the pace by which they lived. Where I led, they followed.

Make someone's day!  Today!

Be an OASIS OF REFRESHING to someone today!

Proverbs 12:25 (NLT)
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.

Proverbs 12:25 (KJV)
Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

Isaiah 50:4 (MSG)
The Master, GOD, has given me a well-taught tongue, So I know how to encourage tired people. He wakes me up in the morning, Wakes me up, opens my ears to listen as one ready to take orders.

Isaiah 50:4 (KJV)
The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

My favorite pastime is going up to someone and saying,  "YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IS?" Then giving them just a moment before saying, "YOU'RE JUST TOO MUCH OF A BLESSING!" (Lots of laughs follow!)

Become a MASTER ENCOURAGER right where you live, right where you work, right where you shop, around anyone you come in contact with!

Smile at someone who might need it today!

Job 29:21-25 (NLT)
“Everyone listened to me and valued my advice. They were silent as they waited for me to speak. And after I spoke, they had nothing to add, for my counsel satisfied them. They longed for me to speak as they longed for rain. They waited eagerly, for my words were as refreshing as the spring rain. When they were discouraged, I smiled at them. My look of approval was precious to them. I told them what they should do and presided over them as their chief. I lived as a king among his troops and as one who comforts those who mourn.

Call someone "sir" or "mam" today who might just not be feeling so good about themselves this moment.  RESTORE THEIR SELF-RESPECT AND SENSE OF WORTH!
