Dan Cheatham 6-24-2014: Elijah Be You - You Be Elijah
ELIJAH IS COMING BACK ON THE CHURCH!

The SPIRIT OF ELIJAH IS COMING BACK ON YOU!

THE ELIJAH MANTLE IS DROPPING FROM HEAVEN ATOP YOU!  Welcome it!  Receive it as I write... this very moment!  Take it!

The Elijah Mantle is draping you, clothing you, enduing you!

You are going to pray ELIJAH-TYPE PRAYERS!

You are going to do ELIJAH-TYPE MIRACLES!

You are going to BURN with Elijah's fire!

The anointing to rebuke corruption, evil and sin is coming back on you!

You are going to have Elijah's BACKBONE & COURAGE to stand against the strongholds of sin in our present day culture!

On Sunday morning, 22 June 2014, as I was leading praise and worship at Life International Church in Huntsville, AL, At one point, I had my right arm and hand up raised in the air to The Lord.  Suddenly, while my eyes were closed, SOMEONE or SOME FORCE placed their hand on mine and began to push my hand slowly backwards until it would not go backwards behind my back any further.  It was as if I chose to, I might be able to resist the pressure on my hand, but instead the pressure was so real and firm and yet sweet at the same time (seemingly an oxymoron) that I chose instead to LET MY HAND AND ARM BE PUSHED BACKWARDS!  As I am writing these nuggets this very moment about THE ELIJAH ANOINTING COMING BACK ON THE CHURCH, and as I just now put 2 and 2 together, and realizing that I preached this message in part last Sunday, IT HAS NOW FINALLY DAWNED ON ME (duh on me!) WHY THE SPIRIT DID THIS TO ME DURING WORSHIP BEFORE I PREACHED:  The Lord was trying to reinforce and confirm the message I was about to preach a few minutes later about the RUGGED ELIJAH ANOINTING BEING THE NATURE OF CONFRONTATION, REPENTANCE,  DEEP CONVICTION, and one of RETURNING!  Basically by pushing my hand back, The Lord was saying:  "THE ELIJAH ANOINTING RETURNING TO MY CHURCH SHALL BE A PUSH-BACK ANOINTING!  The church shall have the power once again to PUSH BACK THE REBELLION AND INDIFFERENCE AND DEPRAVITY OF OUR PRESENT CULTURE AND TO TURN HEARTS BACK TO GODS ORIGINAL POWER, PLANS AND PURPOSES!

Elijah is the PUSH-BACK ANOINTING!  It's the TAKE-NO-GUFF anointing!  It's the SPEAK THE TRUTH no matter the consequences anointing!  ELIJAH IS COMING BACK ON THE CHURCH!  We are going to PUSH BACK at sin and Satan in people's hearts with an anointing that CONFRONTS and CONVICTS.

A spirit of ELIJAH-BOLDNESS is embracing your heart and filling your mouth!

The Elijah anointing is:

1.  The anointing of Passion and Zeal for God... and the things of God!  This anointing is ROUGH HEWN!  This anointing is a RUGGED anointing capable of thriving in a hostile environment!
2.  The spirit of CONFRONTATION of all that is evil.  John The Baptist whom Jesus called Elijah, called certain people    NAMES because of their hard hearts!  He upbraided and corrected and rebuked without apology or guilt.
3.  The anointing of deep conviction and godly sorrow that brings REPENTANCE in oneself and in others!
4.  The anointing that UNCOVERS and EXPOSES hidden agendas, true motives, obvious sin, and even sin that is covered in a cloak of sophisticatedness and plausibility!
5.  The anointing that smites the heart and convinces people to RETURN to God and the foundations of their fathers.  The Spirit of Elijah is a RETURNING TO THE ORIGINAL BLUEPRINT AND FOUNDATIONS kind of anointing!

The Spirit of Elijah is the SPIRIT OF PASSION!

The Spirit of Elijah is the SPIRIT OF CONFRONTATION!

The Spirit of Elijah is the SPIRIT OF LONG RANGE THINKING about the impacts of every decision we make...how does this impact children... future generations?

The Spirit of Elijah on John the Baptist (literal Greek:  John The Dipper) caused him to CONFRONT and say things like "the axe is laid to the root," and many more expressions of TOUGH LOVE!

Malachi 4:5-6 (KJV) -
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

In any realm when the FATHERS and the CHILDRENS hearts are NOT towards one another, there is a curse!

The earth is cursed every time there is a breech between fathers and sons.  A nation can be cursed.  A family line or family unit can be cursed.

One cannot dishonor a father figure (even if you disagree with him) and prosper and thrive at the same time.  YOU ARE OUT OF DIVINE ORDER!  You have dishonored a major foundational pillar that upholds society and you personally.

In Malachi, God speaks of both the comings of The Lord in the same verses:  His first coming and His second coming!

Through the prophet Malachi 500 years before Christ, God prophesies of both John The Baptist and Christ in the same verse (knowing that they would be cousins and be living on the earth at the same time and in the same location, and one ministry would prepare peoples hearts for the others').

God is named "THE LORD OF HOSTS" 24 times in the short book of Malachi.  (Lord of armies, organized ranks, massive gatherings, war, overwhelming odds, battle).

"BEFORE that great and notable day of The Lord" (Acts and Joel)

Elijah is all about FATHERS AND SONS:

Spiritual fathers - spiritual sons
Natural fathers - natural sons
NATIONAL FATHERS - national sons (The problem we have in America today is simple:  The hearts of this nations sons are not turned to the hearts of this nations fathers.  This generation doesn't have the same values as the founding fathers.)
Distant fathers - Distant sons
Recent fathers - Recent sons
Present fathers - Present sons
Father God & Sons

How you relate to the Father figures in your life will MAKE OR BREAK YOU!

FIVE ELIJAHS:

1.  Literal Elijah that appears on the scene in 1 Kings 17,
2.  Elisha (twice the miracles because he received the double portion from Elijah because of his hot pursuit, constant asking, and refusal to be shaken off).
3.  John the Baptist.
4.  The Church (that prepares the way for Christ' second coming).
5.   Literal Elijah (coming back with Enoch as the Two Witnesses during the Great Tribulation who call down fire, preach the Gospel and do miracles.  Then they are martyred but rise again in front of everyone after being dead for three days in the streets).

FIVE MESSENGERS IN MALACHI:

1. Malachi himself - My messenger (Mal 1:1)
2. The true priest (Mal 2:7) - Unknown person.
3. John the Baptist (Mal 3:1)
4. The Messiah (Mal 3:1-3)
5. Elijah (Mal 4:4-5) (Mal 2:8)

FIVE FOLD MINISTRY

Elijah in the book of 1 Kings RESTORED the ISRAELITE CHILDREN back to the original faith and flame of their spiritual fathers when he called down fire on the altar that not only consumed the sacrifice, but the altar made of stones and all the gallons and gallons of water thereof and about.

Hebrews 1:1 -  spake unto THE FATHERS

Luke 1:17 (KJV).  ANGEL SPEAKING TO JOHN THE BAPTIST'S FATHER:

And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

NOTE that in the verse above re-quoted from Malachi that "the heart of the children being turned to the fathers" is defined as "the hearts of the disobedient bring turned to the wisdom of the just!"

John The Baptist told the people HE WAS NOT THE MESSIAH, and also that HE WAS NOT ELIJAH.  But Jesus told the people that John WAS Elijah!

Neither Jesus nor John was lying.  Jesus was saying John the Baptist was the third Elijah.  John the Baptist was saying that he was NOT the 5th Elijah that returns during great tribulation with Enoch, and he was also saying that he was NOT the 4th Elijah that would prepare the world for Jesus' second coming: The Church!  SO BOTH JESUS AND JOHN WERE TELLING THE TRUTH (they were both hoping that you and I and their listeners would participate in the discovery process and learn that there are indeed 5 ELIJAHs)!

Isaiah 40:1-8 (KJV)
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins.  The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Matthew 11:11-15 (KJV)
Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 17:10-13 (KJV)
And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

John 1:19-23 (KJV)
And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

Acts 19:1-7 (KJV) - And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve.
