1. GOD IS A KINDNESS JUNKIE
Titus 3:4 (KJV) - But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared...
Ephesians 2:7 (KJV) - That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
God is a KINDNESS JUNKIE! God is just looking for someone to shower His kindness on!
What we call MIRACLES, what we call ANSWERS TO PRAYER, what we call ACTS OF GOD, what we call DIVINE INTERVENTIONS, what we call SUPERNATURAL HARVESTS, God himself calls simple GESTURES OF KINDNESS.
We sing that song "OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD, HE REIGNS FROM HEAVEN ABOVE, WITH WISDOM, POWER AND LOVE, OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!" When we humans think of AWESOME we usually equate it to great power or great size. But I'd like to provoke this thought in you today: OUR GOD IS ONLY AN AWESOME GOD BECAUSE OUR GOD IS A TENDER GOD... A KIND FATHER!

2. The Old Testament Word For LOVE
Jeremiah 31:3 (MSG) - ...GOD told them, “I've never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love!
Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV) - The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
LOVED, LOVE: Hebrew is "ahab" - to like, to befriend, to have affection for
LOVINGKINDNESS: Hebrew is "haseed" - to be kind, to show courtesy, to favor, to show a good deed
God is a KINDNESS JUNKIE! God is just looking for someone to shower His kindness on!
God was so very kind to JABEZ
1 Chronicles 4:9-10 (KJV) - And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. [10] And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
3. God is a KINDNESS JUNKIE! - I want to become a KINDNESS JUNKIE too!
2 Samuel 9:1 (KJV) - And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?
David learned on the slopes while sheep herding that God was a KINDNESS JUNKIE! So David became one himself! So BECAUSE OF JONATHAN HIS FATHER DID FOR DAVID, David made Mephibosheth like his own son and Mephibosheth ate at David's table for the rest of his life... FREE!
Can you imagine what went through Mephibosheth's mind from day to day?
"Wow, I didn't do anything to earn the King's kindness, but here I am!"
"Wow, Jonathan my father was willing to die for David, and now I've become the beneficiary!"
"Wow, Jonathan did it all; I did nothing!
"Wow, Jonathan's covenant inheritance with David has now become all mine!"
"Wow, I better not offend David by refusing such deeds of kindness!"
"Wow, I think I better humble myself to receive everything David offers me!"
"Wow, David is the kindest man I've ever met!"
God is a KINDNESS JUNKIE! - I want to become a KINDNESS JUNKIE too!
4. ASK GOD TO MAKE YOU A KINDNESS JUNKIE!
Ye have not because ye ask not!
Lord make me a "Kindness Junkie!"
5. PRACTICE KINDNESS towards your spouse... Children... Parents... Fellow workers... Marketplace... Opening doors for others... smiling at others... complimenting others... catching others doing something right and praise them... tell people how good they do things... compliment people on their appearance...
