Perhaps they exist, but I've never met a tithing backslider or a backsliding tither!
THE GREAT DEBATE: To tithe or not to tithe - that is the question!
Funny how all those Christians and spineless leaders who argue against tithing under the New Testament give much less than 10% each year to the work of God, never more! If they really believe in GENEROSITY without needing to tithe, why don't their giving records reflect even more than 10%! These deluded Christians don't realize that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob tithed BY FAITH, way before there was ever such thing as Mosaic law! (Of course there is no law under the NT to tithe! Rather there is a PRECEDENT OF FAITH! The fathers tithed out of RELATIONSHIP not because there existed RULES to do so as instituted much later through Moses.). So all these arguments against tithing are silly and immature! By faith I GET TO TITHE and walk in the steps of my spiritual father of faith... Abraham! The argument against tithing is a moot point, not to mention it robs others of the Gospel ever being spread to them!
It's kind of difficult to ROB GOD and ROMANCE GOD at the same time! See Malachi chapter 3.
Grow up! 10% of all your incomes belong to God and your local church! Nothing you own or have earned was accomished by yourself! God gave you the mind and the health and the creativity and the opportunities to obtain it! And it's all His to begin with! He just lets you make a choice as to whether you will honor Him with it or not!
If you're not at least tithing, God is NOT first place in your finances OR YOUR HEART!
Matthew 6:21 (KJV) - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:21 (MSG) - It's obvious, isn't it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.
Matthew 6:21 (NLT) - Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be.
Don't even tell me God is first in your life if you can't even trust Him enough to tithe! Don't bother!

Everywhere in the Gospels Jesus always asked people to hand him something to work with... so that he could multiply it!
Failure to faithfully and consistently tithe will cause you to be tripped up by sin and the enemy in other matters besides finances! The Bible says "a little leaven leavens the whole lump!" Disobedience multiplies! So does obedience!
A curse can come on your marriage or family for failure to tithe!
A curse can come on your health for failure to tithe.
A curse can come on your career for failure to tithe.
A curse can come to your mind for failure to tithe.
I once asked The Lord why one of my grandfathers backslid and went back into alcoholism a few years after getting saved. The Lord replied, "Because he refused to tithe and he also did not continue in the ministry with his mentor Billy Sunday!"
I've had people accuse me of being legalistic for challenging others to be obedient. SORRY, I DONT THINK SO, my friend! THAT BE MY HIGH CALLING FROM GOD! That be my job! Just because you yourself have hangups about money, doesn't mean I have to or that God has any!
Your point of failure is most likely at the last instruction from God that you ignored.
Jesus said: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added into you!" If something is not being added to you and you are not tithing, consider reading His lips!
Satisfaction = Serving Others!
Wholeness = Worshipping The Lord with reckless abandon!
Peace = Praying until your heart feels a release!
Prosperity = Plenty enough to accomplish God's Will for your life!
FUN = F.inding U.r N.iche in the Kingdom!
Savor the flavor of God's favor on your life! Grace!
Grace is the Touch of the Masters Hand on your life!

The Anointing is the manifest presence of God! 'Tis the most expensive commodity on the planet!

The Anointing is what causes Gods Word to sneak and slip into the human heart! Without it, Gods Word has no power or efficacy. The Anointing is what gives the very words of God poignancy!
