The more I LOOK AT HIM by reading His Word, the more I AM LIKE HIM.
LOOKING AT HIM results in becoming LIKE HIM!
LOOK AGAIN!
KEEP LOOKING!
The Father likes being STARED AT.
Gaze upon Him. Infatuate yourself with Him.
1 Peter 3:4 (MSG) - but your inner disposition. Cultivate inner beauty, the gentle, gracious kind that God delights in.
Lord, change my inner disposition! Deep inside my heart let me be DISPOSED towards what pleases You.
Lord, I want to be PREDISPOSED towards what You're predisposed towards. Change me so drastically and so radically that I NATURALLY desire and do what makes you happy.
Outer beauty counts for NOTHING! Inner beauty is what God celebrates!
1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV) - But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
I can try to live now as to appear beautiful to MEN and lose EVERYTHING in the end like Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix or many other famous personalities. Or I can cultivate true inner beauty now and GAIN IT ALL for eternity!
Luke 16:15 (KJV) - ...but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
I want to be HOLY WHOLE or should I say WHOLLY HOLY!
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV) - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Must have His attributes!
Must have His character traits!
Must have His holiness!
Leviticus 11:44 (KJV)
[44] For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves...
Not interested in licking the dust of the earth by engaging in sinful foolishness!
Not interested in what impresses men.
Not interested in men's praises. Only interested in Father's approval!
John 12:43 (KJV) - For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Must make Him happy!
Must deny myself!
Must decrease that He may increase!
