If you prayed but didn't seem to get the results you wanted, consider how much worse it could have been had you not prayed. At minimum, you yourself were changed for having prayed, even if the circumstances seem unchanged. And remember... prayers often have a "catch-up" effect - sooner or later overtaking the object of the prayer.

Interceding for another requires GREAT FAITH! This is because the PRAY-ER (intercessor) has nothing to rest his or her faith on concerning the PRAY-EE (person being prayed for) except the written Word of God.   So each time you lay down your life to sincerely pray for another, you have demonstrated GREAT FAITH to your Heavenly Father.

  

Intercession is the MASTERSTROKE of love because it is a selfless act on the behalf of another. The Cross, of course, was the ultimate act of intercession, but Jesus' continuing intercessory ministry at the Father's right hand is also a beautiful picture that we can all emulate.

  

When it comes to praying for another person, REPETITION is the key to obtaining results. Importunity is the secret. Saturation is the strategy of choice.

  

Over and over again, we see from the Apostle Paul's prayers as recorded in the New Testament where he says "I cease not" or "continue" in his prayers for persons, churches, or people-groups.

The Most Powerful Prayers in the Universe are recorded in Paul's Epistles. The fact that God saw fit to include them in the New Testament tells us that each of these prayers is: 1) The perfect will of God for anyone, 2) Will no doubt secure uncommon results if used in prayer.

  

Begin to view PRAYER more as FELLOWSHIPPING THE FATHER, rather than just giving God a list of your requests and emergencies.

  

Think of prayer as warming yourself in front of a beautiful fireplace after walking in from the cold.

  

Prayer is the HVAC system of the believer, at once WARMING the heart, and simultaneously COOLING down the mind and emotions!

  

Prayer AUTOMATICALLY generates an environment of POWER and FAVOR!

  

Prayer is my umbilical cord to Heaven, my lifeline of daily nourishment.

  

Prayer must become as natural to me as inhaling and exhaling, as constant to me as my heart beating.

  

Answers to prayers often come wrapped in human packages.

  

Big answers can lie in nearly unnoticeable places and people.

  

A diamond is a small thing but worth much.

  

An atom is a tiny thing, but incredibly powerful and the building block of the universe.

  

Don't miss the VALUE of someone or something just because of it's small size or its familiarity.

  

Place the proper VALUE on each of your relationships. Just because it is an old or familiar relationship and may have long ago lost its "newness" doesn't make it COMMON or of LESS VALUE.

  

Anything or anayone we allow to become COMMON to us loses its VALUE to us. We become ungrateful and blinded over time to how blessed we really are. But the good news is, that at any moment we can stir up our gratitude to God by choosing to honor and treasure any blessing God has granted to us... all over again!  Vocalize!  Give thanks!

  

Give thanks to God aloud for each significant other in your life... OFTEN!

  

Sometimes we are oblivious to just how blessed we already are.

  

Kneeling before God has become a lost artform.

  

Raising hands to a generous God has become a lost artform.

  

Laying prostrate before an Awesome Holy God has become a lost artform.

  

What you do with your body helps your heart follow accordingly! (God says so in the Book of Psalms and throughout the whole Bible.)

  

We can break down the three divisions of our person to learn more about ourselves. Yes, we are indeed triune beings as 1 Thessalonians 5:23 points out: 1) spirit, 2) soul, and 3) body. As one preacher puts it, "I am a spirit with a soul and I live in a body." So true. However, in the final analysis we are INTEGRATED INDIVIDUALS with each portion of our being affecting the other. Each part of us is equally important and has eternal value and importance to God. Each part is HOLY. And the sum of our parts is HOLY.  Lack of attention or protection to one part of our being automatically affects the other parts... they are inseparable!

Signs and Wonders are God's NORMAL! Demand them! Expect them! Pray them! Do them in Jesus' name!

  

Would you or I hesitate to use whatever power we possess to protect or help our family members? Neither is God hesitant or reluctant to use His unlimited power on our behalf!

  

Call Him "Father" more than you call Him "God." "Father" is the warmer name. "Father" is the term of endearment. Jesus The Son came to introduce "Father" to the sons.

  

JEHOVAH-JIREH is not JEHOVAH-JIPYA!

  

EL SHADDAI is not EL CHEAPO!

  

Your Father is YOUR Provider!

  

Your Lord is a Rich Jew!

  

The angels are NOT on strike. The Father has not been forced to pawn the pearly gates. The streets of gold are not rusted. The twelve gemstone foundations of new Jerusalem above have not lost their stock value.

  

As one minister has noted, if obedient Christians would just realize it and put their faith into motion, each beleiver is really a "MONEY-MAGNET!"

  

Another preacher puts it this way, "MONEY COMETH!"

  

God created the ideas of gold, money, exchange, value, worth, time, payment, deposit, etc., etc. If He created all this, He wants you to have and enjoy it. (Not to drown in your own gravy, but to be blessed, and to be a blessing to others too!)
