Mike Murdock - Your anger is a clue to what God has assigned you to solve. Your compassion is also a clue to what God has called you to do. To WHOM do you feel compassion? What injustice in this world arouses your anger?
Get MAD about something evil, something unjust, something that hurts people, something that saddens God, something that destroys society. Get so MAD you are willing to fight for it and live for it, or even die for it should it become necessary! Have some passion! Get upset over something evil and wrong. Fight it with every fiber of your being, every word of your mouth, and every strategy you can get from Heaven! Jesus got ANGRY in the temple, made a whip, and overturned tables! You should too! Just make sure that your ANGER is aimed correctly and tempered by wisdom and love. Go ahead, get MAD at the devil! Go ahead and get MAD at abortion! Go ahead and get MAD at the gay agenda. Go ahead and get MAD at poverty. Go ahead and get MAD at porn. Go ahead and get MAD at human trafficking. Go ahead and get MAD at DEBT. Go ahead and get MAD over divorce. Go ahead and get MAD at drug addiction or alcoholism. But GET MAD at something please! Please, please don't be in NEUTRAL GEAR - going nowhere, caring little about anything, with little or no passion.
God The Father got good and MAD at sin! So much so that He risked sending His only Son to destroy it!
To be truly GLAD, you must get duly MAD!
If you never allow yourself to get good and MAD at something that God is mad about, you probably won't get too glad about the awesome privilege of knowing Christ Jesus the Lord. Why? Because, LOVE and HATE work together! "Ye that love the Lord, hate evil!" (Psalm 97:10)
God is an emotional God. He really has feelings, and those feelings of His can be very extreme and intense. And YOU are created in His image with emotions so that you can be like Him and feel like Him. So don't curse the fact you are emotional in nature. Rather ask God to help you funnel those emotions for His glory. Denying your every emotion or trying to suppress every emotion is not a solution. Recognizing that your emotions can and are often subject to your fallen nature is a good thing, but GOD GAVE YOU EMOTIONS ON PURPOSE to help you and others around you. It is healthy to be DISTURBED about some things, to be MOVED about some things, to be TOUCHED by some things! FEELINGS often stir us to action!
Buy into the CAUSE OF CHRIST!
When you're away from God you feel uncomfortable around others who are close to God. You withdraw because without a word spoken, just their presence confronts you with the condition of your heart. And this is right where the devil wants you because he can now make you bond with his own crowd, people he can use to be your undoing altogether! They are unsafe for your soul but you sware there's nothing wrong with them because "they are my true friends and they listen to me better than Christian family and friends." Yep those false friends do listen better to your sob story and agree with whatever you say... because they really DON'T CARE about you. They just want a friend to "hang" with.
Repent quickly for God forgives quickly. All He requires is you take responsibility for your own action by confessing that ugly thing away to Him... aloud. Spit it out, man! Cough it up! Spew it out! ...in the presence of the Lord! And find O such sweet forgiveness!
Injustice can hurt you temporarily, but bitterness can kill you permanently.
If you are not grounded in God's Word you are going to accept other subtle philosophies and untruths from others who are always inventing their own value systems, even immature or deluded Christians.
What you believe about God's nature and His attributes determines what you can receive from Him.
You can only receive as much from the Lord as you correctly believe about His disposition concerning you and your needs.
The enemy is subtle and sneaky to lace wrong ideas about God into our thinking. The Bible teaches that "it's the little foxes that spoil the vines." Satan is the master at painting the wrong picture of God into people's hearts.
How do you PICTURE GOD?
What inner portrait do you possess of the Father?
Exactly what is God like... to you?
Jesus came to paint that picture inside you! He lived out the Father before us in a human body so we could know what God was like, how God thinks, how He relates to people, what He feels about you.
If you're wanting to get a BACKSLIDER back to God, you're going to have to BREAK THE SOUL BONDS WITH THE WRONG PEOPLE that the devil has brought into their life. In intercessory prayer, bind the devil's soul bonds they now have with the wrong people - unholy alliances. If possible do this by using names. But if you don' t know their names at least curse these wrong relationships in general.
Some people, including some Christians, allow themselves to bond with almost anyone and everyone. But this is terribly naive, not to mention dangerous!
Choose your loyalties intelligently, not emotionally. YOU decide your circle. Don't let the mere entrance or aquaintance with someone decide who will be your support system. YOU YOURSELF decide based on Biblical guidance. FILTER and CHOOSE your associations. You cannot allow yourself to bond with just anyone you are in contact with! You must be guarded and measured in this area of your life! (And watch out for inordinate or unholy Facebook, internet, and email alliances that might try to develop over time.)
Mike Murdock - The most dangerous person in your life is the one who feeds your doubts... about God, or about your spouse, about your parents, or about your pastor, about your church, about anything important in your life.

Anyone that attempts to divide the essential loyalties in your life is unnecessary, and should be avoided at all costs. Ditch the dude! Switch sistas!
EVERYONE is NOT safe! There are socially dangerous people! There are spiritually dangerous people.
Distraction is the primary strategy of the devil against those doing something great for God. Fight for your focus! Concentrate! Re-focus! Eliminate distractions, diversions, and refuse to chase brush fires. Get back on track! Look straight ahead again. Offload things that waste your time and energy. Identify unnecessary things, things not worthy of your attention and release yourself from them! |
