O God, let the Spirit of God REST on me like it rested on Jesus!  Spirit of God, come and REST upon your people like Isaiah 11 says.  A greater measure of your manifested presence in our lives, we pray.  A heavier anointing rest upon the body of Christ, Lord, in Jesus' name!  A thick cloud of glory settle down upon us in preparation for the next great awakening in the land!  Spirit of God, be comfortable in my presence.  Be pleased to dwell in my presence, Sir.  Feel welcome in our midst.  Feel welcome and treasured by my heart.

Isaiah 11:1-5 NET - A shoot will grow out of Jesse's root stock, a bud will sprout from his roots. The LORD's SPIRIT will REST ON HIM - 1)  a Spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, 2)  a Spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, 3)  a Spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the Lord.

Don't partner with people and politicians who condone murdering the unborn and try to redefine marriage.  Reach out to them.  Love them.  Teach them.  Challenge them.  But don't partner with them.  Respect their persons, but NOT their values and agendas!   Beware of people who are "progressives" in their thinking and have gone further than the Word of God authorizes.

2 John 1:9-11 MSG - 7 There are a lot of smooth-talking charlatans loose in the world who refuse to believe that Jesus Christ was truly human, a flesh-and-blood human being. Give them their true title: Deceiver! Antichrist! 8 And be very careful around them so you don't lose out on what we've worked so diligently in together; I want you to get every reward you have coming to you. 9 Anyone who gets so progressive in his thinking that he walks out on the teaching of Christ, walks out on God. But whoever stays with the teaching, stays faithful to both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone shows up who doesn't hold to this teaching, don't invite him in and give him the run of the place. 11 That would just give him a platform to perpetuate his evil ways, making you his partner. 

2 Corinthians 6:14 MSG - Don't become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That's not partnership; that's war. Is light best friends with dark?

Associate with the wise and you become wise.

Associate with fools and you become even more foolish.

Associate with rebels and you become a rebel.

Associate with the ignorant and you become even more ignorant.

You ARE going to pick up the spirit and values from whomever you associate the most.  There is NO POSSIBLE WAY that any of us won't PICK UP from others, therefore we must be selective in our associations.

Someone has rightly noted, "We will be the same next year as this year except for the books we read and the people with whom we associate!"
