The Bible clearly reveals that THERE WILL NEVER BE LASTING PEACE ACHIEVED IN THE MIDDLE EAST until Jesus comes back!
Peace cannot be achieved by political demagogues discussing matters at a negotiating table. About the only thing we can hope for until the Rapture occurs is that God will keep the Middle East in relative checks and balances. Islam hates Israel and any friend of Israel. God said back in Genesis that Ishmael and his descendants would hate Isaac and his descendants. God stated that the Arabs would be "wild" people and basically "hate" everyone. (Genesis 16:11-12)
Inner peace only comes by accepting Jesus' first coming.
Outer peace will only come by experiencing Jesus' second coming.
It is always interesting to me how God uses the Arabs to keep Israel in check for their unbelief in Jesus, and how He simultaneously uses Israel to weigh any other nation as to whether they will be a friend of Israel or not. Even though the bulk of Jews have rejected Jesus as their Messiah, God still calls them His elect in the New Testament and prophesies that many, many Jews will be saved in the last days and during the great tribulation period. (Romans chapter 11 and Revelation 7:4)
In the meantime it is very important for the United States to stand FIRMLY with Israel so that we can continue to receive the blessing of God! Failure to do so would be our undoing!
