Greetings!

Thank you LI family, for carrying on the life of the church while I was absent at my son Andrew's graduation from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.  You are the best congregation of believers a pastor could possibly ask for.  It's good to be home now.

My son Andrew will be interim youth-pastoring for the summer like last summer, before he begins his graduate seminary work in the Fall.  He is pastoring in a church in Maryland.  Pray that God will use him greatly.

Thoughts For The Day:

Seek to SIGNIFICANT, not SENSATIONAL.

Most of our walk with the Lord is one of simple SIGNIFICANCE rather than extraordinary SENSATIONALISM.  Thank God for the milestone events that occasionally occur from the Lord in a sensational  manner.  But, overall, we should be satisfied with SIGNIFICANCE, and not demand the SENSATIONAL in order to be happy.

Just keep on keepin' on doin' the right thing!  Your perseverance will prevail!

Your harvest from the Lord is inevitable if you just keep on doing the things He has required of you.  Harvest cometh!

The Joy of the Lord is the oil that makes you too "slickery" for the devil to grab hold.  Releasing joy is like posting a "No-Trespassing" sign around the borders of your life!

As Jerry Savelle said many years ago, "If Satan can't steal your joy, he can't keep your goods!"

I'd rather be caught failing while trying to do the will of God, than to be caught succeeding at living a boring life of self-centeredness.

In the long haul, obeying God is much much easier than disobedience.  Disobeying might be easier for the short term in order to accommodate our rebellious flesh.  But nothing satisfies more than looking back and knowing you made an honest effort to please God.

Our only defense against the DAILY RUSH is a MORNING HUSH... with the Lord in prayer!
Much Love & Respect,  Dan Cheatham, Lead Pastor
