From time to time you will receive the Notes to Pastors column.  Some items listed here are specifically for pastors, while other items may apply to additional ministry leaders in your congregation. Please pass along these items as appropriate.

Healthy Congregations workshop in Pittsburgh

On March 20-21, Lombard Mennonite Peace Center will be holding a workshop for clergy and lay leaders in Pittsburgh, PA. For information, see the flyer below.


Corinthian Plan 

The Corinthian Plan  open enrollment continues  through February 15, 2015. For information on enrolling contact Denise Henke ( or Duncan Smith ( Feel free to contact Duncan Smith, TCP Director, with any comments or questions, at the e-mail listed previously or at 316-281-4255. 


Corinthian Plan participants are encouraged to complete the online wellness profile and agree to a wellness coaching session in order to receive $300 per employee (including spouse, $150 each). You can read more online about the wellness incentive at .


Mennodata Records

In the next month, an email will be sent to each congregation requesting that they update their congregational information on  Please review your church's profile to make sure it's up to date. 


Congregations are not able to make changes to the pastor records. If you notice that any pastor information is incorrect, let the conference office know for correction.


Pastor Wellness Program services

With the start of the New Year thoughts often turn to better living.  The Pastor Wellness Program offers expanded services such as Nutritional Counseling and Wellness Classes. See the attached flyer on how to take advantage of these benefits.

EMS class at Garden Spot Village

This class taught by Mark Wenger will  be entitled  "Healing Prayer in the Christian Story".  Details are attached.  Dates are Mondays, Feb. 23-Mar. 30 at 7:00 p.m.  More information at 717-355-6203.  


Seminary Scholarships Available

For the 2015-16 school year Eastern Mennonite Seminary has a large number of Ministry Leadership Awards available. These awards range from -   tuition for Mennonite and Anabaptist-affiliated students who show a sense of call and desire to serve the church. 


Students are encouraged to apply by February 1 for these awards. They will be chosen based on application materials. Students who accept these awards are still eligible for other forms of financial aid like the Mennonite student discount and the church matching grant. They must study full-time on the Harrisonburg campus of EMS.

EMM resource for your congregation
