Atlantic Coast Conference Fall Annual Assembly Weekend will be held October 25-26, 2013 at Akron Mennonite Church. Events for the weekend include:

Leadership Resource Day is Friday, October 25, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with two tracks of study: Healthy Congregations led by Richard Blackburn from the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center and Restorative Justice Practices co-presented by Lorraine Stutzman Amstutz and Jim Amstutz.

Fall Assembly Celebration, Saturday, October 26, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., theme is God's Power at Work based on Ephesians 3:14-21, Nancy Kauffmann is preacher.

Additional weekend events include Mennonite Women and Mennonite Men dinners, both to be held at Ridgeview Mennonite Church.

The Alumni Association of Lancaster Mennonite School is hosting a Business Networking Gathering September 11 at Steeple View Lofts and the Friendship Community Art Gallery in downtown Lancaster. You are invited to learn about these organizations and the restoration of this historic downtown factory building, and to take a tour of the lofts and art gallery. Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society event: A different conflict: The Civil War meets religious peacemakers in Lancaster County Register for the Saturday, October 12 field trip and explore the impact of the civil war on religious communities practicing the way of peace in Lancaster County, 717-393-9745.

Eastern Mennonite Missions Commissioning: Join Eastern Mennonite Missions as we commission our YES and GO! participants to share God's love where the church is not yet on Sunday, September 8, 7 p.m. at Landis Valley Christian Fellowship, Lancaster, Pa., emm.org/events or 717-898-2251.

End-of-Life Planning Seminar, October 11-12, Everence and Akron Mennonite's End-of-Life Planning Team are collaborating to host a pilot introduction for others interested in learning more about the model that Akron Mennonite Church has put in place. Designed for individuals from congregations that are serious about making this a part of the overall ministry to their members. It will be a two-day, intensive, introductory workshop. SAVE THE SATURDAYS of November 9 and 16, 2013, for Nonviolence Training Sessions - intensive experiential workshops giving participants a comprehensive introduction to Martin Luther King, Jr.'s philosophy and strategy of nonviolence at the Akron Mennonite Church.  These workshops, sponsored by www.1040forPeace.org, will be facilitated by Tarek Abuata of Washington, DC, a nonviolence trainer who is also Christian Peacemaker Teams' Coordinator for Palestine.

The Lancaster Christian Council on Disability (of which Friendship Community is a member) and Joni & Friends Eastern PA are hosting a Disability Ministry Summit on Saturday October 19, 2013 at Calvary Church in Lancaster. The summit is designed to educate and train local churches for disability ministries. Please note that there is a cost to attend this event - discount registration up to Oct. 1. Churches are encouraged to send groups of 4 or more which will also reduce the cost per person. Lunch is included in the registration fee.

PROGRAM MANAGER - No Longer Alone Ministries, part-time position (20 hrs/wk)

Core Schedule: Mon - Thurs, minimal evening and weekend hours

Position Summary: Provides direct oversight to programs, coordinates admissions, ensures quality and regulatory standards, supervises program staff; responsible for limited caseload.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience in mental health services.
