The Servanthood of Our Volunteers
RVers 2016
This past summer the U.S. Mission America Placement Service Retired Volunteer (MAPS RVer) missionaries team at UVF, led by Dave Maracle, concentrated the bulk of their efforts on the student center expansion. Fifteen missionaries volunteered their time, skills and resources to create and prepare new space designated for UVF students and also assisted staff departments with important office work.

Alumna Appointed Chief Operations Officer
Amber  Didden _10
Amber (Mortensen) Didden '10 recently accepted a position as chief operations officer at the Teen Challenge Training Center in Rehrersburg, Pennsylvania. In her two years on staff at Teen Challenge, Didden's vision and passion for the organization opened doors of opportunity for her career.

The University of Valley Forge (UVF) seeks its next president to lead the university to a new season of growth and economic sustainability through strategic, visionary and biblical servant-leadership, building a strong community for students, faculty and staff. UVF is accepting nominations and applications for the position of President. The posting will be considered open until a candidate is approved by the Board of Trustees. A Forum on Race, Diversity and Law Enforcement
Marianne Modica_ Ph.D.
Professor Marianne Modica, Ph.D., was invited to help facilitate a community forum on race, diversity and law enforcement on Sept. 22, 2016, at the Spring City Public Library. In light of current tensions between civilians and law enforcement throughout the U.S., the community forum provided an open and safe place for community members to share their concerns while hoping for a better future.

Faison Named Athlete of the Week by NCCAA
Faison
The NCCAA National Office announced on Sept. 27, 2016, that Philadelphia native and senior Taniyah Faison was named the Women's Soccer Athlete of the week. During the week of Sept. 19, Faison was successful in her attempts as goalie to block a total of 45 shots. She had nine saves in a 1-2 loss against the College of Saint Elizabeth. Later in that week, Faison had 36 saves in a 0-6 loss against Clarks Summit University. Our congratulations to out to Faison for this special recognition!

The Conference Center at Valley Forge

The Conference Center at Valley Forge is an integral part of UVF, providing conference and overnight accommodations to individuals, organizations and churches in a beautiful setting. Priced at reasonable rates, this property is also available to visitors, students, faculty, staff and friends coming to the area for personal or college-related events such as open house, homecoming and commencement. Located four miles from the UVF campus, The Conference Center at Valley Forge offers exceptional customer service and amenities.
