Exciting News About the Student Center Expansion
Student Center Expansion

The University of Valley Forge (UVF) announces an exciting campus building improvement project for 2016 - the expansion of the Student Center. The current Student Center has served students well; however, it is insufficient in size and lacks some needed services. The expansion provides additional space for student interaction, as well as space for a game room, Patriot store, symposium room and patio. An elevator and restroom renovation are also envisioned. UVF's goal is to raise $375,000 to complete the renovations in time for a fall 2016 opening. Support for this project will come from generous alumni and friends. Your gift is greatly needed for this project and will make a difference for UVF students!

And the great news is that we are well on our way to meeting our fundraising goal thanks to a generous $250,000 gift-matching pledge by long-time UVF benefactors Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cardone Jr. The Cardone Family will match every gift on a 2:1 basis! That means that your gift will be tripled! Please review the details of the expansion project and learn how you can bless UVF students with a gift.

Leadership Tools by Dr. Don Meyer
President Don Meyer
De Jesús, Wilfredo. In the Gap. Influence Resources, 2014.

"A gap, by definition, represents a place of weakness, vulnerability and danger. It is a defenseless location of exposure and limitation, a point where people face real threats." Wilfredo De Jesús's book "In the Gap" is based on the scripture passage of Ezekiel 22:30, where God is speaking: "I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none." In his book, De Jesús challenges readers to be the one who stands in the gap and help all people experience the grace and greatness of God. There are gap situations in our families, our communities, our nation and our world, and the gaps will continue to grow if nothing is done. De Jesús spotlights nine people in the Bible who had to stand in the gap between their people and God. He highlights the choices they needed to make and how they relied on God to keep them standing strong in the gap. These nine people point readers to Jesus as the best example of someone who stands in the gap and intercedes for his people daily. "In the Gap" is a challenging book that provokes readers to a call of action. Will you stand in the gap to bring glory to God?
