Leadership Tools by Dr. Don Meyer
|
Saccone, Steve. Relational Intelligence. Jossey-Bass, 2009.
I love the proverb that says, "If you are leading and no one is following then you are just out on a walk." Leadership is about people. This book deals with relational intelligence and how to implement it, learning to express gratitude and see people as valuable, and growing your influence and effectiveness. Jesus was the best example since relationships are God's highest priority. His life showed love and compassion, grace and justice, humility and encouragement. Saccone shares six roles of relational intelligence: The Story Collector; The Energy Carrier; The Compelling Relator; The Conversationalist Futurist; The Likeable Hero; and The Disproportionate Investor. "Relational Intelligence" is a great resource for any person in a leadership role who would like to improve their perspective, relationships and influence.
