General Council comes but once every two years!
General Council and Fine Arts Festival will take place on August 3-7, 2015, in Orlando, Florida, at the Orange County Convention Center. Please make a special point to come by our booth to see President Don Meyer, Ph.D., and other representatives of the university, including faculty members from the music department.
Our mobile Media Command Center (mMCC) - a 48-foot long rolling recording studio on wheels - will also be at the convention. The mMCC is outfitted with state-of-the-art digital recording equipment and instructional space, and houses two isolated rooms that independently operate for multiple simultaneous performances. Stop in to record your own fine arts presentation, from vocal solos to bands, and see how it works.
A special General Council Alumni & Friends Reception will be held on Wednesday, August 5, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Salons 1 & 2 from 9 pm until midnight. President Meyer will be giving a complimentary copy of his new book, "The Distinguishing Mark of Leadership," to each alumni family or friend who attends. Children are welcome and there will be a special area with activities for the kids. Finger foods and dessert will be served.
