National Fine Arts Festival 2014
|
 |
The National Fine Arts Festival (NFAF) is a youth discipleship tool of the Assemblies of God, with which the University of Valley Forge (UVF) is affiliated. According to the General Council of the Assemblies of God, the competition is designed to help thousands of high school students "discover, develop and deploy their ministry gifts." In early August, the Office of Admissions led a team of students and staff to NFAF in Columbus, Ohio, hoping to introduce prospective students to UVF.
As students visited the UVF information booth and recorded music in the mobile Media Command Center, the team focused on helping high school students learn more about the university and all it has to offer. Thanks to the team's efforts, over 1,200 inquiries were collected.

On November 7-9, 2014, the University of Valley Forge (UVF) will host the annual piano sale in the Flower Chapel, featuring Yamaha pianos. The university entered into a partnership with Menchey Music a few years ago. As a result, UVF hosts the company's annual county sale and in return, is provided with new pianos for students' use. This event is by appointment only.
As part of the sale, Yamaha combines the practice pianos with inventory from their stores and factories. If any practice pianos are sold, Yamaha replaces them with new ones. This is a tremendous blessing for our music department because it receives quality pianos at no additional cost to the students or the university. If you are in the market for a piano or interested in instrumentation, be sure to come support this fantastic partnership. Make an appointment.
