CHAMBER UPDATES
One of our largest signature events of the year is coming up on Wednesday, May 18. The third annual First Responders Luncheon will recognize 23 local police officers, firefighters, and paramedics for their dedication and service to our communities. This year, in an effort to raise additional funds for the Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association and the Minnesota Fallen Firefighters Memorial Association, we will offer silent auction and raffle items, donated by local businesses and Chamber members. Items include restaurant and retail gift certificates and an incredible golf package featuring some of Minnesota's finest courses! Special guests include master of ceremonies Joe Schmitt of KSTP TV, Kat Perkins of NBC's The Voice, Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mona Dohman, and Governor Mark Dayton. We have once again partnered with Memorial Blood Centers and their Battle of the Badges Blood Drives, held each summer. We hope that you will join us that day to honor our local heroes and to raise money to support these two important organizations. More information can be found below.

Fox Hollow Golf Club's head golf course superintendent, Matt Zwilling, passed away last September at the age of 33. He left behind a wife and young daughter. This spring we're rallying local golfers and business leaders to help the Zwilling family as we host a memorial golf tournament to honor Matt. On Friday, May 20th, gather a foursome to golf, come for dinner, donate a prize, or sponsor a hole to put your business in front of hundreds of supporters of this local family. All proceeds will be going directly to Matt's wife and daughter. Call Eric at Fox Hollow (763-428-4468 x.3) or email ( [email protected]) with questions, or to sign up.
