FROM THE CHAIR

Dear Chamber Members,
Earlier this month, we celebrated the Chamber's Annual Dinner and Silent Auction, a wonderful event held at the Crown Room at the Wellstead of Rogers. From the ten-foot tall Oscar statues and the Walk of Fame stars to the Golden Age of Hollywood centerpieces and the delicious meal, no detail was spared in creating an unforgettable evening for our Members. Many thanks to the sponsors of the event; businesses and individuals that donated items for the silent auction, live auction, and raffle; our volunteers; and all those who attended and contributed to the evening's success. This was the Chamber's opportunity to say thank you - our Chamber thrives because of member participation and engagement.
While the calendar year may be winding down, the Chamber continues to offer valuable events and programming. In late September, we welcomed speaker Erik Therwanger of Think Great for the first course of the brand new Business Institute, sponsored by Henningson & Snoxell, Ltd. Erik inspired the attendees to change their perspective and operate with the belief that your passion has to be bigger than your paycheck.
We are looking forward to the next course, to be held on Tuesday, October 20 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm at Cabela's, featuring executive trainer Tracy David Peterson of Designed4Freedom speaking on Emotional Intelligence - a discussion of advanced skills that pay top dollar in the marketplace - and the Power of a Word, allowing you to gain insightful knowledge of how to transform your life. You can register for individual courses at our online events calendar, beginning with October's event here.
Also, mark your calendar for the Holiday Luncheon and Open House, which will be held at the Chamber office on Thursday, December 17 from 11 am to 12:30 pm, during which we'll once again collect toys and other items for Caring For Kids, Your Local Toy Drive, which serves families in St. Michael, Albertville, Hanover, and other area cities. More details will be available soon.
Two highly-anticipated annual events are coming up in January. The Vine & Stein Wine & Craft Beer Tasting, sponsored by the Wellstead of Rogers, will once again be held at Rush Creek Golf Club, on Thursday, January 21. Tickets are already available! The following Tuesday, January 26, we'll meet at the St. Michael City Center for the annual State of the Cities luncheon. Watch these newsletters and our website for more details.
If you haven't already, be sure to check out our newly redesigned website at www.i94westchamber.org. Chamber staff, together with Rosalie Bell and the talented designers at Origin Marketing, put together an informative site that is easy to navigate and highlights our great communities. Sponsorships are available, so please contact DJ at the Chamber office if you would like to learn more.
