FROM THE CHAIR
|

 Dear Chamber Members,
Last week, the Chamber held its annual Golf Tournament, a sure sign that summer is beginning to wind down. Thanks to all who joined us that day, including all of our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers. We had a lot of fun and despite early morning storms, the weather held. It was a great day! While the Golf Tournament is certainly one of our most anticipated events of the year, we have many wonderful opportunities ahead. You will soon see information regarding our Annual Dinner and Silent Auction, which will be held this year on Thursday, October 1 at the Crown Room at the Wellstead of Rogers. We look forward to celebrating with you. Later this month, we'll commemorate President DJ Hartley's first year at the Chamber with a Night Club event at Boondox Bar & Grille in Otsego from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 18 to celebrate with us! You may have seen an email last week introducing the brand new Business Institute, sponsored by Henningson & Snoxell, Ltd. The Business Institute is a series of eight courses featuring top local and nationally-renowned speakers, instructors, and coaches that will allow you or your employees to gain valuable knowledge and insight. Topics include sales techniques, customer service, emotional intelligence, social media, and much more. Any Member who attends all eight courses will receive a Business Institute certificate, presented at April's Business & Community Excellence Awards. Single courses are also available. The Business Institute is open to both Members and Non-Members. The Chamber strives to provide our Members with valuable programming and opportunities for business growth and career development, and we hope that you or other individuals from your company will benefit from the knowledge and expertise that will be shared through the Business Institute. If you have questions or would like to learn more about the Business Institute or any of the other benefits Chamber Membership provides, please contact DJ Hartley at the Chamber office. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
