Video Contest
Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. BY PROVIDING A SUBMISSION, SUBMITTER AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES, WHICH SHALL BE FINAL IN ALL RESPECTS.
The I-94 West Chamber of Commerce Video Contest encourages Chamber Members to develop the most creative version of "Why I-94 is for You!" demonstrating the Chamber's new service philosophy of "You are Our Business."
Videos, no longer than one (1) minute, will be judged by a panel consisting of members and staff. Social media will be used to gather public opinion. One grand prize winner will be selected. Prizes will be awarded to other submissions as well. See below for details.
1. CONTEST TIMING:
The contest submission period begins at 10 a.m. CT on June 1, 2015 and ends at 10 a.m. CT on June 15, 2015. The contest judging will take place between June 16 and July 20, 2015. Winners will be announced at the Golf Tournament Dinner on July 28.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Prizes in the contest will be awarded to the best video, as deemed by the panel of judges, submitted by an individual or a team.
3. TO ENTER: During the contest period: Upload your video (the "submission") to YouTube and include the link to the video in an email to djhartley@i94westchamber.org. To upload your submission, you must have an account with YouTube.
To sign up for a free You Tube account, visit http://www.youtube.com/create_account and follow the online instructions for registration. The video's format and size must follow the video upload guidelines for Youtube.com, available at www.youtube.com.

Coupling education with marketing strategies, this event will provide small businesses an opportunity to meet with representatives from federal, state and local departments, commercial/prime contractors, and nonprofit organizations.

Strategic Financial Planning for Nonprofits
Northeast Bank is proud to sponsor a FREE half day workshop for local nonprofits titled "Strategic Financial Planning." This advanced workshop is tailored for nonprofit leaders who want to take their management skills to the next level.
During this workshop, you will learn:
- Analytical tools to assist in understanding your organization's current financial position and current business model;
- Different techniques and approaches to having practical conversations critical to organizational decision-making;
- The factors to consider when scenario planning and setting multi-year budgets.
After this workshop, you will be able to:
- Properly balance an emphasis on annual budgeting with scenario planning and multi-year forecasting;
- Gain agreement on key organizational goals and priorities;
- Ensure that key organizational decision-makers have a shared understanding of the organization's financial health, business model and financial risks;
- Determine what will be necessary to become a more financially dynamic and flexible organization.
This training is provided by Nonprofits Assistance Fund, an organization that invests capital and financial expertise in nonprofits to help them thrive. The workshop's presenter, Phil Hatlie, is responsible for assisting nonprofits during the loan application and review process, and throughout the lifecycle of the loan. He also delivers training workshops and provides technical assistance on financial management topics to nonprofits throughout Minnesota, and has a special expertise in charter school financing. Prior to joining Nonprofits Assistance Fund, Phil spent 15 years working as the lead finance person at three Minnesota nonprofits. He served as a Director of Finance and Administration for the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, and as the Director of Operations for the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA).

The event will be a free and open format event, however we are asking for interested parties to RSVP via email (event co-sponsors emails are below). Upon arriving at the event, a listing of attendees will be provided to each participant to better facilitate connections, both at the meeting and for follow-up after the event.
