School Pledge Drive 2013-2014
In three weeks since we kicked off the annual school pledge, have received $192,780 in pledges and of that $115,113 has already been paid. Thank you to those of you who have been expeditious in pledging and sending in your payments. Those families still working on their pledges have plenty of time until the December 13 deadline.
Remember, we've made it really easy to pledge and pay - Go to the Online Donation page on our school website, and choose to make your donation/ payment plan or pledge plan today! Complete payments are due no later than June 2, 2014. Thank you so much for investing in our school! We can't reach our goal without 100% participation.
P.S. See our new banner in the breezeway, which is tracking our School Pledge Drive progress!

The auction is getting closer, which means more hot items coming your way!
First up, the ever popular, Bedtime Stories with the Kindergarten Team, Mrs. Carson, Mrs. Cedergreen, Ms. Johnson and Mrs. Yousoofian will wear their pajamas to your house, read your child a bedtime story, sip hot chocolate and tuck them in for the night! The book and memories are yours to keep.
Next, Four Exceptional Apple Cup Seats
and the Best Tailgate Party in Husky Stadium!
The first Apple Cup between fierce rivals University of Washington and Washington State was played in 1900, and resulted in a tie between UW and WSU. From 1900 to 2012, there have been 105 games between the schools. This is a long-standing and beloved tradition. This year's Apple Cup will be held in the breathtaking newly remodeled Husky Stadium, being billed as the most beautiful place in the nation to watch football. This year's game will be held Friday, November 29, at 12:30pm, over the Thanksgiving holiday. Enjoy the game close to all the action, row 23 at the 25 yard line. The four seats are conveniently located on the aisle and are all next to one another. As an added bonus, drop by Mischelle and Chris Davis' Tailgater at "The Husky Trailer". Beer and snacks will be served up before and after the game, along with plenty of fun!
Thank you, Celeste and Sterling Ramberg and Mischelle and Chris Davis

There will be a "Game Area" in the Social Hall for kids to participate in if they choose while their parents enjoy the silent bidding in the other room.
There will be NEW FUN GAMES this year! Cake walk, face painting, fishing, bean bag toss, DUNK TANK, balloons, candy, and lots more! Kids are not allowed in the silent bidding area without a parent accompanying them. After the silent auction closes, parents will escort their children to supervised areas:

3rd & 4th grade meet in the faculty room & the 4B classroom for movies and games
5th & 6th grades meets in the Library for games and movies
We will move to the Social Hall for a lively and exciting Live Auction while the children are in their respective areas. The kids will stay in their activity room until escorted to the Social Hall to meet up with their parents and await the drawing of the kid's raffles.
Be sure to come to both nights of the Auction! On Friday, class projects for classes in grades 1, 3, 5 and 7 will be on auction, and on Saturday, classes in grades K, 2, 4, and 6.
