Thanks for Helping Our Kids!

These are our friends' Kids, our neighbours' Kids ... Our Kids!

The Durham Region has been answering the call to support Our Kids.

As the needs of Grandview Kids grow, you have really played a significant role in helping Our Kids.

The Kiwanis Club of Sydenham in Oshawa is one new Grandview friend. Committed to helping Our Kids have access to service, the group experienced firsthand the Grandview excellence when they met Our Kids.

  Run Cameron Run!
Just meeting Cameron puts a smile on your face.

An energetic 5 year old, his enthusiasm is contagious and it makes you feel you can accomplish anything. This is especially thrilling for Melanie and Sean, (Cameron's parents) as he was a preemie, born at 30 weeks.

The unexpected birth was triggered by a ruptured appendix for Melanie, putting both her and Cameron at serious risk.

They made it, but it was because Cameron wasn't quite meeting his milestones that further investigations were done.  It was the diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy that was the answer to those questions. The phrase "CP" meant little to Melanie at first and Grandview was able to help in working through what that meant on a daily basis for their family.

Now for Cameron, Our Grandview Kid, there are possibilities that he seizes head on daily and continues to inspire himself and others with Grandview's help.

"Grandview is amazing and we really don't know what we would do without it," says Melanie.
