MARCHing to Spring

We would like to run into Spring if we could. The end of February gave us two major snow storms with a couple of minor snow events. After it was all said and done we ended up with about 24 inches of snow to deal with.
The bad part of all this snow was the first snow fall amounted to 11", it was a dry snow with 40 mile an hour winds. With all that wind and large amount of snow, we had a lot of drifting, in some places it was chest high. This made it hard to do chores, for you would take a step and sink, take another step and sink again. No need to go to the gym for a workout, just go for a walk in the snow.
Then the second wave of snow came, it was a wet snow, we ended up losing electricity for about 4 hours. Which was better than some of our neighbors, they were looking at one day to two days without power. Yes, we did have emu eggs in the incubators during this outage, we are going to wait and see if it had any affect on the eggs.
We were scheduled to do the KOFO Spring Show in Ottawa, KS, but it was canceled due to the blizzard. They rescheduled it for the weekend of March 15, 16, & 17; we will not be able to set up our booth on this new date for their show, as we are already scheduled for that time to be at a show in Lincoln, NE.
