Dear CCPS Parents:


Homecoming Week We had a great week celebrating Homecoming at CCPS.  Thanks so much for allowing your children to dress up and participate in Spirit Week.  Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the crazy costumes. 

 

PTF Meeting Tuesday, October 8th 

Our first PTF Meeting will be held in the church sanctuary at 6:30pm.  This is a great chance to fellowship with CCPS parents and teachers.  Our program this month will be "Preparing for High School/Future Plans for CCPS"  The meeting will last approximately 1 hour.  Hope to see you there.

  

Toys For Tots Penny Drive Our annual Toys for Tots Penny Drive kicked off this week.  Every class is participating for a Pizza Party with our 1st week of competition.  We will announce our winner in the next newsletter.  Please continue to send in your change as our second round of competition begins.  The lower/upper school classes that collect the most money from now until October 25th will receive a Coastal Day.  Also, when the whole school raises $1000, we will celebrate with a school-wide Ice Cream Party.  Thanks again for helping us bless others in the community for Christmas.

 
Darkness To Light Training Tuesday, November 12th  We will have the Stewards of Children: Darkness to Light Training in our church sanctuary from 6-8pm.  Even if you have attended this event in the past, please make plans to attend.  This is a BRAND NEW video that just premiered last week.  Mr. Hulsey and I were privileged to attend the premier, and the video is excellent.  Mrs. Martha Tumblin will be our facilitator for this important topic about how to prevent and recognize child sexual abuse.  Childcare will be provided.  Signups for childcare will begin Monday, November 4th.  
 
Ordering Lunches  Don't forget to order your child's lunches on RenWeb.  Also, please remember you can order organic healthy lunch options delivered to our school through the  Food For Thought website.
