Dear Parents,

 

We are so excited about seeing all of you soon!  We have some important events coming up, and we hope you will mark your calendar and make plans to attend.
New Student Orientation - Monday, August 12th, 1pm - 2pm  
All new 1st-12th grade students attending Coastal Christian for the first time should plan to join us for New Student Orientation. This will be a time when we can introduce them to our school so that they feel comfortable on their first official day.

Please drop your children off in the school lobby at 1pm. Pick up will be at 2pm in the lobby.

Family Night Activities - Tuesday, August 13th:
 
Kindergarten Orientation - 5-6 pm 
This is the time for parents of K3-K5 students to receive important information about the upcoming school year from their child's teacher. Child care will be available during this hour so teachers and parents can make the most of the time.

Your child should be receiving a note in the mail from their teacher soon.  Please meet in your child's classroom, then plan to stay for Family Night, which will immediately follow this session.

 

Hot Dog Supper - 5:30-6:30pm
Let's celebrate the start of a great school year together! Join us in the courtyard after Kindergarten Orientation or before the Family Information Meeting for food provided by the CCPS Booster Club. Visit the gym during this time to browse the informational tables.

Family Night Information Meeting - 6-7:45pm
  
From 6:00-6:20 there will be a Family Information Meeting in the gym.  This will be an opportunity for parents and students to see the school, meet teachers and administrators, and gather important "Back to School" information.  **1st-12th grade teachers will NOT be available until after the group meeting, so please do not visit the classrooms until AFTER this meeting.**
  
From 6:30-7:45 teachers will be available in the classrooms for a meet and greet.  Upper school students (6th-12th) will run an abbreviated bell schedule; all parents for all grades should report to their child's 1st period class at 6:30pm.  Schedules will be completed in RenWeb by Monday, August 12th at 3pm.  Please print your child's schedule and bring it with you when you come to Family Night.
  
Lower school parents:  If you did NOT pre-order school supplies but chose to shop for supplies on your own, this is the time to drop them off in your child's room.

We hope all our parents and students in grades K3-12 will make plans to attend this fun and informative evening!

First Day of School - Thursday, August 15th
We will have morning care beginning at 7:30 in the gym, and aftercare will be open until 6pm if needed.

Remember to pack lunch for the first 2 weeks of school - school lunch starts 8/26!

Important information gets posted on the Parent Information page of our school website, so remember to visit it at least once a month to stay abreast of all that is happening! Go to www.coastalchristian.org and choose the Student Life tab, then the Parent Information link.

As we wind down the last days of summer, help your student to stay motivated to complete their summer reading and math assignments.

Note to all lower school parents: If you chose to NOT pre-order school supplies, they should be purchased and delivered to your child's homeroom on Family Night, or before the first day of school. Lists are available on the Parent Information page of our school website, or by clicking here
