The GRTWA Student Council is sponsoring Cancer Awareness Dress-Down Day on Friday, October 16, 2015. By raising funds as a community, we are raising awareness to fight cancer. On October 16, the Student Council will be accepting donations, and we ask you support our cause by donating from $1 to $5 and by wearing jeans and pink on that day. Each donation makes a difference!

We are hoping to get 100% participation from staff and students.

In addition, Soccer Academy Pups (ages 3-5) is now available at a drop-in rate of just $25 per class.  If you would like to have your child try the class without committing to it on a weekly basis, you can have them come one class at a time.  Please email enrichment@grtwacademy.org if you'd like to have your child stay for a class.

As a reminder, Picture Day is Friday, October 23. Please check your child's backpack for the order form.  Please return the order envelope with payment (or the on-line receipt) to the office by Tuesday October 20th, 2015.

We are trying to grow our school community, and as part of our growth initiative, we are adding a new section to our website called "Gottesman Stories." We are planning on highlighting different parents, students, staff, and alumni on our website throughout the year with their personal stories and experiences here at GRTWA. Our hope is by sharing your "stories" on our website, it will help to give prospective families a greater understanding of who we are.

Just a friendly reminder to send in payment of $25 for your KidStuff Book. Use just a few coupons to save more than the cost of the book. Keep the book in your car! You will enjoy savings from Macy's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Payless, Loft, Aéropostale, Sears, Dick's Sporting Goods, and many more. If you are unable to participate in this fundraiser, simply return the KidStuff book to Donna or Michele at the reception desk. This is a great fundraiser for our school and your family will save lots of money!

The next Common Ground Speaks event will be held on October 28 at 6:30 pm at the Pingry School in Basking Ridge. There will be a screening of the film Beyond Measure, a film that "offers a positive picture of what's possible in American education when communities decide they are ready for change."
