Welcome to the 2015-16 school year in our brand new building. We are very excited to welcome both our new and returning families and students.
- School starts for all students on Tuesday, September 8, at 8:30 AM
- ECC hours now match K-8 hours: 8:30 - 3:30, Monday-Thursday and 8:30-2:00 on Fridays.
- 5th-8th grade davening begins at 8:15 each morning.
Please note that almost every Wednesday during the school year, you will receive a similar email with news about what's going on at school. We urge you to check it regularly so you're up-to-date and informed.

We urge all of you to visit the parent pages of the website. Peruse them for updated information, forms, etc. To reach the parent pages, log onto our website at www.grtwacademy.org, click on the parents link in the upper right corner, and enter the newly changed password: grtwaparent. On the website, you will find the dress code, supply list, and lots of other goodies. And, there is new information on transportation procedures for dropping off and picking up your children on our new driveway. Please read it carefully! Call the school office if you have any questions about anything you find on our website.

School Lunch and Challah Ordering Information

Beginning this school year, we will have an in-house catering company that will be providing lunches. The most exciting things is that even if your child doesn't like the entree, there are loads of regular items offered every day. For one price each day, students can chose whatever and how much they want.
The lunches are available to all students; however, ECC students need to be in attendance during the lunch period to be able to participate in this program.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to order challahs and challah rolls for your Shabbat table delivered from a challah bakery in Monsey, New York.
Information regarding the lunch program and procedures for ordering lunches and challahs/challah rolls can be found here. Please read it! The deadline for ordering September lunches and 1st session challah/challah rolls has been extended to September 1, so do it NOW.

Locker Setup for Middle School Students

6th - 8th grade students may come to school on Thursday, September 3, from 1:00-3:00 or Friday, September 4, from 12:00-2:00 to get their new locker assignments and combinations and to set up their lockers. This is the ONLY time before school starts that students may come in. The locks have not yet been installed in the lockers and, since we're not sure when they will be installed, no other advance dates will be available.
