TRAFFIC UPDATE

 

Beginning on Monday, our staff will be using a new parking lot located behind the school. They will be exiting through the driveway next to the playground/soccer field. To avoid any traffic issues, please make sure you do not block the driveway next to the playground when picking up your child on the carpool line.

CANCER AWARENESS FUNDRAISING UPDATE

 

We are happy to report that during Cancer Awareness Month, our school raised $319.  Thank you to everyone who participated!

DECEMBER LUNCH ORDERS NOW OPEN

 

December lunch orders are now open. Ordering will close at midnight on November 20. As a reminder, please make sure you receive an emailed receipt. If you do not receive a receipt, your order did not go through and it will be cancelled, no exceptions. Please place your order early in case you have any issues.

 

Starting with December lunch orders, banana bread will also be available for purchase at a cost of $10 for two loaves. Bread will be baked fresh at GRTWA and sent home with your child on Thursdays. Click here for more information

BRING IN YOUR DONATED ITEMS TOMORROW

 

With tomorrow's Parent-Teacher Conferences, it's the perfect opportunity to bring in your Chanukah Spree donations! If you're planning on donating items to the Chanukah Spree fundraiser, bring them with you tomorrow and save yourself a trip!  

SPIRIT WEEK: NOVEMBER 17 - 21

 

Spirit Week is coming up soon! Starting November 17, there will be a special dress down day every day of the week.  Monday is Pajama Dress Down Day. For more information and the full schedule, click here.

 

DECEMBER VACATION PROGRAM

 

December Vacation Program is now open for registration. Sign your children up for fun during the December winter break! Registration is due by December 15. Please note, a minimum of 7 children must be signed up for each day, in order to run the program for that day. For more program information and to RSVP, click here.

GRTWA'S FIRST EVER MOVIE NIGHT

 

Saturday, November 22 at 6:00pm, is our first ever movie night! Students and their friends, grades K-8, are welcome to join us as we screen The Lego Movie (grades K-4) and Bruce Almighty (grades 5-8). $7 per ticket, or $8 for specialty package, which includes a drink and snack. PA VENDOR NIGHT - GIRLS NIGHT OUT

 

Enjoy a Girls' Night Out at GRTWA on December 11, from 6:30 - 9:30pm! Local and national vendors will be on hand for a great shopping experience, complete with complimentary drinks and sweets, door prizes, and 50/50 raffle to benefit the school. Click here for more information.

8TH GRADE ISRAEL TRIP FUNDRAISERS

  • Babysitting Services: For just $10/hour, an 8th grader will come to your house and babysit your children. For more information and sign up, click here.
  • Babysitting Services available for Parent-Teacher conferences on November 13, from 3:30pm - 8:00pm, at a cost of $10 per child, per hour. Please sign up ahead of time by emailing Michele Wasserman at mwasserman@grtwacademy.org. Please include the name of your child and start and end times needed for babysitting.
  • Personalized Artwork/Keepsake Gifts Thank you for your Silvergraphic orders and support of the trip to Israel.  If you submitted an order you will have the ability to order additional items online.  Contact sharialtman@embarqmail.com for your child's individual order number and password (for security reasons), at which time you can order additional items online.  Credit for your order will still go to Gottesman RTW!

  • Banana Bread Fundraiser: Starting with the December lunch orders, banana bread will be available for purchase at a cost of $10 for two loaves. Bread will be baked fresh at GRTWA and sent home with your child on Thursdays. Click here for more information.

  • Chanukah Spree Dec 8th: Please send in new and gently used items for the sale, such as books, jewelry, toys, etc. Collection box is located in the hallway, by the nurse and administrative offices.

  • 10-12 inch Flower Arrangement for $25: Available for Shabbat or Holidays. To order, please contact Regina Shtirmer at (973) 610-8292. 
  • Ariel's After School Cooking Classes for K-8: Support the 8th grade Israel trip and have fun in the kitchen, $30.00 per class or $125 for all 5! Learn to make homemade preserves and muffins, real NY style boiled bagels, latkas and applesauce and more! Click here for details. Class size is limited to 12 students per class.   • Garage Sale This years garage sale will take place March 8, 2015. Please look out for reminders as we get closer to the date and begin collecting for the event. 
  • Vendor Discount Cards (2014-15): $15 each - in the GRTWA main office.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

 

Please continue to submit your box tops to the office.  This is a continuous program which helps raise money for the school throughout the year.

GIVING TUESDAY - DECEMBER 2

 

Federation is proud to be an official sponsor of #GivingTuesday (#GT), a national day dedicated to giving and giving back by celebrating and encouraging charitable activities to help create a better world.  Join the Federation on Giving Tuesday, for the Community Challah Bake, donations of toys and non-perishable food, Super Sunday, and donating to the UJA Campaign. SUPER SUNDAY - DECEMBER 7

 

Sunday, December 7, join the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest for Super Sunday! Events include a fundraising phonathon, canned food drive, family activities, social action, and teen and college student call sessions. For more information on Super Sunday, click here.

 

Canned Good Drive for Super Sunday CAN-ORAH program
Bring in canned goods and help the community build a giant menorah with donated canned foods. All food going to local food banks and the Jewish Relief Agency.
 

COMMON GROUND SPEAKS SAVE THE DATE
