ADMINISTRIVIA

The HAMC Calendar and the HAMC Handbook and Directory

will be sent home with your oldest child today. Each family will receive one copy only. Please look for them in the backpacks.

The HAMC News is your source for the most up to date and important information and is the only regular method of communication from the school.

Please be sure to read it weekly. The HAMC News eBlast will be created and distributed on Tuesdays throughout September due to the holiday schedule and will resume regular Wednesday distribution in October.

Transportation arrangements are handled by Michele in the HAMC main office. Please keep Michele informed of any regular arrangements for dismissal on an ongoing basis via written note or email. For example, if your child will NEVER ride the bus in the afternoon, she needs to know. Inform Michele of any one-time changes as soon as possible prior to dismissal time. Specially printed and brightly colored HAMC Transportation Note pads are available for purchase (2 pads for $5). Email Michele at mwasserman@hamc.org.

We will perform a test of the Automated Information System, which is used to inform you of school closings or delayed openings, on Wednesday, September 11th at 2pm. If you do not answer the phone, a message will be left. Please email Chris in the office if you do not receive a call. Please also email if you would like to be removed from the call list, or if you wish to change the contact phone number. Email Chris at cwestra@hamc.org.

POLICY REMINDER

Just a reminder....Our dress code helps children feel more focused by improving self-esteem and confidence which encourages good behavior, respect, and school pride. Please assist your child in meeting all dress code requirements especially for school programs and on Fridays, Rosh Chodesh, and other holiday celebrations. Please review the dress code on pg.15 of the HAMC Handbook and Directory or click here to view the dress code.

SCHOOL LUNCH

Lunch ordering for September and October closes on Thursday, September 12th. Please be sure to order and pay before the deadline. All unpaid orders will be canceled without notice.

You must manually update the grade level in your child's MyFoodDays account to be sure the lunches are processed and delivered properly. Just go to "settings" and make the change.

HAMC LUNCH CREW VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We need dedicated HAMC parents to cook and serve our delicious, healthy and affordable lunches on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays! Please volunteer for one day or more - contact Kathy Neibart.

THURSDAY PIZZA LUNCH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

ThanksGIVEing Event - Friday, November 22nd - free and open to middle school students - During the month of November the HAMC will be collecting travel size toiletries. All donations are asked to be dropped off in the main foyer between November 4th and November 22nd.

WINE TASTING BENEFIT

8th GRADE ISRAEL TRIP FUND RAISERS

NO Breakfast for Lunch through September
Need a babysitter for back to school night? The 8^th graders will be babysitting at the school on 9/16 and 9/23. It's only $10 per child and all proceeds go towards the 8^th grade trip to Israel.
