10th Grade Play ~

The Burial at Thebes

The Tenth Grade will present three performances of Seamus Heaney's The Burial at Thebes next week. The play is a contemporary translation of Sophocles' Antigone, first performed in 441 BCE. Heaney's translation is a tour-de-force, adding pace and power to the original. Working within its Greek Literature Main Lesson block, the sophomores have applied themselves with great resolve to the task of mounting a drama production in a tight time line. This will be a show well worth seeing. Performances are on Monday, November 25 at 7:30pm and on Tuesday, November 26 at 11am and 7:30pm. Admission is $10 and $5 for the evening shows.

Thank you,

Guess the Doll's Birthday!

A number of 8th grade students have been hard at work!

They volunteered their time in bringing Katy to life.  She comes fully-clothed and shoe-d (handmade).   The joy and excitement these girls exhibited in this undertaking can be shared by you!  Students include: Alena, Schuyler, Hero, Erin, Ayla, Hanna.  They have made Katy the Doll as a donation to the Holiday Fair.
