Tutoring Ministry News

 

Tutoring will begin the week of Oct. 6th.

 

If you have a child who is struggling in reading and/or math, please contact Jane Bonelli  

or the church office for an application.

 

We are also in need of tutors for all grade levels.

 

Please consider investing in a child's education to help him/her experience success.

Student Envelope Fundraiser:

 

Every summer, the students here at Myrtle Grove Baptist plan to go to Student Life Camp or some other fun, spiritually rejuvenating trip.

 

Students don't exactly have large enough piggy banks or plenty of savings to pay the sort of money it takes to go on these trips.  

 

Many need financial assistance to go with us.  

 

So, as a means of giving to the spiritual development of many students, we encourage you to take one (or more) of the fundraising envelopes, pray, and seek the Lord for what He may have you offer as a financial blessing.  

 

We have a suggested offering range of $5 to $50; however, give the amount you feel impressed to give!  

 

Every dollar is appreciated.

They have both experienced the devastation of an unwanted divorce and all the lies that go along with it.  

 

Yet through God's grace and mercy they have experienced redemption that is beyond their greatest dreams and expectations. Now married for more than 20 years, parents and grandparents, they share practical and biblical principles for experiencing an abundant marriage. WELCOME MIKE & WENDY!

IMB Missionary, Gloria Sloan, will be our guest speaker on Sunday, October 12, in a combined worship celebration at 10:30am.  


Gloria serves as a connector/coordinator for three countries in Central America.

 Don't miss hearing her powerful testimony of God's grace. Invite a friend.

Following the morning worship services our members are invited to meet at Blue Angel Recreational Park for our Picnic and Baptism in the Bay.  

 

The menu will be hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings along with drinks.  

 

The cost is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 10 years old and under.

 

Make checks payable to MGBC and write "PICNIC" on the memo line.  

 

RSVP forms will be available in the near future.  

 

The park entrance fee has been paid.  

 

Maps are available at the info counter.

FALL FAMILY FESTIVAL is just around the corner. On Friday, October 31st from 6:00 - 8:00pm, our church will once again offer the children of the Myrtle Grove and surrounding communities an alternative to trick-or-treat. We need your help in making this a special event for these children. Individually wrapped candy donations are needed. Boxes have been placed in the church office and the FLC.

Registration is now open for boys and girls, grades K through 6, to be a part of our Upward Basketball & Cheerleading season.

 

Registration fee is only $65 ($75 after November 3rd.)  

 

Registration forms are available on the Upward table in the foyer.
