Tutoring Ministry News

Tutoring will begin the week of Oct. 6th. If you have a child who is struggling in reading and/or math, please contact Jane Bonelli or the church office for an application. We are also in need of tutors for all grade levels. Please consider investing in a child's education to help him/her experience success.

 

 

Praize Kidz
   

The Myrtle Grove Baptist Church Praize Kidz

choir has begun another year of learning more about praising our Lord Jesus.  

 

 

The kids are excited to sing songs of praise and help lead in worship once a month in the morning worship services.  

 

All children in grades one through six are invited to join the Praize Kidz.  

 

Please come! Weekly rehearsals on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 6:30pm in room 103.

FALL FESTIVAL
 
FALL FAMILY FESTIVAL:It's just around the corner. On Friday, October 31st from 6:00 - 8:00pm, our church will once again offer the children of the Myrtle Grove and surrounding communities an alternative to "trick-or-treat." We need your help in making this a special event for these children. Individually wrapped candy donations are needed. Boxes have been placed in the church office and the FLC.

Stewardship (Financial) Focus . . .

 

TODAY -

Our Stewardship Committee has prepared survey cards that will be used to evaluate the educational needs of our church family concerning tithing and overall stewardship education.  

 

 

These survey cards are included in the bulletin today.

 

We are asking each of our families to please fill out these cards and turn them back in before the end of the month.  

 

The envelope containing the cards may be dropped in the offering plate or turned in to the church office during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm.  

 

This information will assist our committee in their preparation for 2015.

Make check out to MGBC and designate for Marriage Workshop.  

You may drop your check in the offering plate today or bring it to the church office during business hours.  

 

*Scholarships are available for those needing financial assistance.

Our Pastor encourages couples of all ages to attend this Marriage Workshop. Next Sunday, September 28, we will have a combined service at 10:30am.

Student Envelope Fundraiser:

Every summer, the students here at Myrtle Grove Baptist plan to go to Student Life Camp or some other fun, spiritually rejuvenating trip.  

 

 

Students don't exactly have large enough piggy banks or plenty of savings to pay the sort of money it takes to go on these trips.  

 

Many need financial assistance to go with us.

 

So, as a means of giving to the spiritual development of many students, we encourage you to take one (or more) of the fundraising envelopes, pray, and seek the Lord for what He may have you offer as a financial blessing.

 

We have a suggested offering range of $5 to $50; however, give the amount you feel impressed to give!

 

Every dollar is appreciated.

Upward Basketball & Cheerleading: Come and be a part of our Upward Team. Upward is not just a sports league. It is a sports ministry! We have a place for you!

Directors, concession workers, and prayer partners are needed. See Ron Pouliot to volunteer.  

 

 

 

Upward Basketball & Cheerleading Registration: Registration is now open for boys and girls, grades K through 6, to be a part of our Upward Basketball & Cheerleading season. Registration fee is only $65 ($75 after November 3rd). Registration forms are available on the Upward table in the foyer.
