MGBC Children's Ministry invites you to join us for an end of summer family outing at Sam's Surf City on Saturday, August 10th. Flyers are located in the Sunday School Departments and on the welcome desk in the worship center foyer.

Ladies "Hands-On" Cooking Class

Billy Graham outreach

Next Sunday, August 11 @ 4pm . . .

Pastor Ron will lead a training session in the fellowship hall for those who are interested in opening your home as a "Matthew" host home during the national Billy Graham outreach event in November. In addition, more training opportunities will be offered in the weeks ahead.

Back to School

Will You Help Share the Love of Jesus?

School will soon be back in session and many of our area children will need help in obtaining their school supplies. As in previous years, we are now collecting school supplies to be given to our "Partners in Education" at Myrtle Grove & Sherwood Elementary Schools.

Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me"

The following items are needed:

Pencils, pencil-top erasers, pencil boxes, red ink pens, highlighters, duo-tang folders, backpacks, white copy paper, kleenex, paper towels, hand sanitizer.

Many of the other items {paper, crayons, markers, etc.} are provided to the schools through the "Cram the Van" program.

Please bring your school supplies to the Church Office or to the Minister to Children & Families' Office located in the Family Life Center. A full list of needed supplies is located in the foyer.

August CSM Toy of the Month

Each month our CSM lists a "toy" of the month for folks to purchase in advance of Christmas for children our community that may have a need.

This months toy is: Action Figures

Contact any member of the CSM group/committee/volunteers

Nursery/Extended Session Volunteers needed:

Nursery/Extended Session Volunteers: This is a critical area of need.

Volunteers may serve anywhere from once a month to once a quarter.
Help is needed at 9:15am and 10:30am.

Volunteers on a rotation basis are needed.

Training provided ... perfection not necessary - a caring spirit is.
