Volunteer Spotlight: Our Christmas Elves
 NavarrawithSAMMTopofpageDear ,

I know it is a busy time of year and we all are running here and there. With so many choices of things to do, I ask that you consider adding one more thing to your must-do list!

Over the past 4 years, I have had the honor of participating in The Homeless Persons' Memorial Service. As I prepare for this year's service, I realize that words simply do not do it justice. What happens during this time of reflection touches hearts and brings tears to eyes.

Even though you may not have known any of those we will memorialize, your presence and prayers will be appreciated and your life enriched by the experience. Details are below. Hope to see you there!

Homeless Persons'
Memorial Service
Date: Friday, December 21st
Time: 7pm
Place: Milam Park - 500 W.Commerce

Come join us for this touching service which commemorates, through prayer, music and messages of hope, those who have passed this past year while being homeless.

Candles will be lit, names will be called, and a bell will be rung for each one of our friends lost over the past 12 months. This service may be the only one held for some of these men, women, and children; making it a wonderful way to show your support to those left behind.

Volunteer Spotlight:
Christmas Elves

This past weekend we were blessed through the service of 114 elves, AKA gift-wrapping volunteers. They wrapped over 1,000 gifts to help make Christmas special for 250 children in our care.

Not only did they wrap gifts, but many also brought gift wrapping supplies to boot! We are grateful to the volunteers who spent their time, really being the hands and feet to the less fortunate.

Many thanks to the donors who bought these gifts! Truly we could not have made Christmas bright without caring people giving their time, talents and treasures.

Merry Christmas to all who made this Christmas special for our kids!

You have been such a blessing to this ministry and the men, women, and children we serve. A special thanks for coming through for them this Christmas and making their spirits bright!

May you be blessed knowing that your support has helped change the lives of 4,174 men, women and children this past year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
