 NavarrawithSAMMTopofpageDear ,

In just a couple of weeks, children will be going door-to-door saying, "Trick or Treat!" Of course, they really don't want a trick; it's a treat they are expecting to receive.

As we grow older, we expect certain things out of life, too. However, sometimes life can throw us a 'trick'. Most of the time we can manage the twists and turns, but there may be a time when we need some help.

Thanks to your financial support, Lore and her son received the help they needed when the unexpected happened. She wanted to be able to thank all of you in her own words.

I am in awe of the men and women who tell their stories. It truly is an act of humble gratitude. I hope you will listen to Lore speak from her heart.

Lore was married for 30 years and then the unthinkable happened. She had to leave her marriage behind and, along with her son, try to make it on her own. Soon they were on the verge of homelessness.

Her call to SAMMinistries' Homeless Prevention Services changed her and her son's lives--keeping them off the streets and in a home of their own.

Because you cared enough to give, we have been able to help many families like that of Lore and her son, all of whom are all thankful. But it is someone special who will put their face, let alone their voice, to their story.

I pray her story helps you see the difference you are making through your giving!
