SPECIAL EVENTS THIS WEEKEND IN KIRKWOOD:
This is a special reminder of some great events happening in Kirkwood this weekend.

LESSENING THE DISTANCE:

"The Great Divide: Lessening the Distance," a dialogue on building a prejudice-free community of highly respectful individuals, will be presented by the Kirkwood Human Rights Commission and the Community for Understanding and Hope on Saturday, March 7.  The forum will be held at Kirkwood United Methodist Church, 201 W. Adams, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.  The speakers will be Deborah Krause, Eden Theological Seminary, and Fred Falker, from the Falker Consulting Group, who has worked for 15 years to develop a new approach for thinking about diversity.  

 

HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION STUDENT ART FAIR:
Sixty-four Kirkwood-area students in grades 4 thru 12 submitted art work to the first-annual HRC Student Art Fair.  Their work will be on display at Robinson Elementary School, 803 Couch Avenue, tomorrow, Saturday, March 7, from Noon to 3:00 p.m.  Certificates for First Place, Second Place, and Best Representation of Theme ("My Community") will be awarded.

ARTISTS' BOUTIQUE AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER
Artists' Boutique Fine Arts and Craft Show, Saturday and Sunday, March 7 and 8, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days.  For information, call 314-802-7193.
