PICTURE OF THE WEEK:  Cakeway to the West!

Have you heard about this? The City of Saint Louis turns 250 years old next year, and there is a project afoot to celebrate 50 places in and around St. Louis that best represent our region to the world - the 50 "quintessential"
places.  Giant Birthday Cake sculptures will be installed at all 50 sites, and Kirkwood's very own Historic Train Station is in the running.  YOU CAN VOTE to make it happen.  In fact, you can vote EVERY DAY from now until January 3. Please spread the word to your neighbors and friends - vote for the Kirkwood Train Station!  Here's the link:

SANITATION ROUTE CHANGES
CORRECTION ON THIS ARTICLE - LINK FIXED

A THIRD OF KIRKWOOD SANITATION CUSTOMERS WILL SEE ROUTE CHANGES ON JANUARY 6, 2014

Kirkwood Sanitation will change some residential sanitation routes effective January 6, 2014.  Friday residential sanitation collection will be eliminated, moving the City back to a four-day-per-week collection schedule.  All Friday routes will be moved to other days, and some other routes will change as well.

Affected residents should receive letters THIS WEEK.  They will also receive door hangers in late December as a reminder just before the change.  About a third of Kirkwood Sanitation's residential customers will be affected.  Residents who want to see if they are on the affected routes, can visit the Sanitation page of the Website here for the list of addresses.
