Sanitation News for April: It's THAT Time of Year Again

Time to Clear Out the Yard Debris?  Here Are Some Helpful Reminders:

April brings with it showers (sometimes snow...) but also warm, sunny weather, and you may feel pulled toward your yard and a strong desire to clear it of yard waste, such as leaves and twigs and other debris.  Plus, you may be trimming bushes and clipping perennials.  Here are a few yard waste reminders that we hope will make your work a little easier.
  • You can use a Kirkwood yard waste bag or a generic bag with a Kirkwood sticker.
  • Where can I purchase yard waste bags?  See full list below.
  • Bags need to be placed curbside by 6:30 a.m., on your regular collection day, but please note:  Please LEAVE the bags out until they are collected.  If our collectors have a busy day, they may work into the evenings, especially during this time of year.
  • For a full page of additional information (what can go in the bags, how to bundle limbs, etc.) and, possibly, all of your questions answered, click here to visit the Yard Waste page on our Website.

YARD WASTE VENDORS:

  • Global Foods Market, Kirkwood Rd.
  • Shop 'N Save, Manchester Rd.
  • Schnucks, Manchester Rd. (Kirkwood and Des Peres locations)
