Break for Lunch TC: Budgeting Basics

 A well-crafted budget is essential for even the smallest nonprofit organization's success. During this session, you will learn the "how-to's" of building a budget for your nonprofit. 

 

This workshop will discuss:

  • How to create a first time budget
  • The difference between program and operating budgets
  • How to appropriately allocate expenses
  • Record keeping to support development of a good budget
Designed for beginning to intermediate practitioners, Board members and volunteers.

MCACA Minigrant Deadline is October 15, 2014

This is a reminder that the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs minigrant deadline is this coming week - Wednesday, October 15th, at 11:59pm via eGrant.  Minigrants are available for arts and cultural projects as well as professional development for organizations in the 10-county region (Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee & Wexford).

NorthSky is a nonprofit program of Rotary Charities of Traverse City that assists northern Michigan nonprofit organizations strengthen their capabilities through capacity building and sustainability support. It provides a wide range of services and resources to help nonprofit organizations deliver programs effectively and efficiently. NorthSky also serves as a conduit for new resources securing state and national support and partnerships to bring technical and financial resources home to nonprofits and social enterprises in this region.
