Is it time for your organization to get serious about evaluation planning? Do you need to establish a process for identifying your evaluation needs, reporting requirements and the data collection procedures to meet these needs and requirements? During this session, we'll discuss how to get started with evaluation planning including who should be involved, how to identify the information you need and who to obtain it from, and the data collection tools that can help you. We'll provide some examples to help you better understand the evaluation process. Designed for beginning to intermediate practitioners, managers, and volunteers.

All arts organizations and groups seeking funding through Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, including the minigrant program must participate in the CDP. In addition, CDP participation offers tools for organizations to support their operations, planning, fund development and advocacy.
New User Orientation will be held 12:30-2pm followed by CDP Reports Orientation 2:30-3:30pm. There is no charge to attend but registration is required at www.culturaldata.org. Additional assistance and support for current or potential MCACA/minigrant requests will also be available before and after each session, or by appointment.

Steel magnate Andrew Carnegie once said that he who dies leaving behind many millions will "pass away unwept, unhonored and unsung." That philosophy took root in much of the last century, with major philanthropists giving vast fortunes in their later years to libraries, museums, hospitals and other institutions devoted to the public good.
