Forgiven
And he said to her, "Your sins are forgiven." Luke 7:48
A sinner washes Jesus feet. As those gathered consider her uncleanliness, Jesus confronts their hearts. He tells the story of someone in the burden of debt, then forgiven, forever changed by such generosity. Forgiveness is then given to the sinner, with the words, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." May that peace be yours today!
Dear Jesus,
You have loved me to the point of cancelling my debt, rescuing me from my sin, forgiving me. Strengthen my faith. Send me the peace that passes all understanding.
